Story
Maddie has been in our family for 10 years. We found her at Helen Woodward in San Diego California and it was love at first site! She’s very loving and playful and she’s very low maintenance. Maddie will always protect those who she loves. We now have young children and she is always watching out for them and myself. She’s very nervous around some men and around kids who come right at her. She’s been known to nip at legs when she feels threatened. We now have 2 young kids and unfortunately, some of their fast and unpredictable movements have resulted in nips. Finding a new home for our sweet girl may be the best thing for her and us at this point. We hope she can find someone to love on her as much as she deserves!

Story
This is Tootsie, and she is the most precious thing on the face of the planet. Blind and deaf, Tootsie has learned to navigate through her world by booping into things. That’s not an exaggeration. She boops to map out her environment. She’s like a 17-pound cloud just floating around, meandering slowly in the sweetest way as she looks for the dog bed, the wall, her drinking bowl. You will not physically be able to stop yourself from melting at the sight of this 12 year old fluff softly exploring her world. And when she comes towards you, and you reach down to pet her, she stops to enjoy the company before continuing her gentle wandering. If that weren’t enough, she loves other calm dogs, cuddling with them in the way you only see on Hallmark cards. She is sweet and precious and she’ll make your heart sing every day. We all need a bit of peace in our lives. Adopt Tootsie and you’ll never go without. Likes: soft beds, pets, nice smelling things, sweet dogs, serenity, people Dislikes: unfenced pools (my blood pressure spiked just writing that), dogs that tackle when they play Housetrained: Yes. She knows how to use pee pads while in an ex-pen, or you can let her outside every few hours during the day. She likes to smell whatever scents the breeze carries.

Story
* Rocky and Zoey are BONDED and must be adopted together. They should be in a home without cats or other dogs. Rocky is a social, 11-year-old Cocker Spaniel mix boy who loves to play with stuffed toys and his bestie, Zoey. A little baby talk goes a long way, and he will want to sleep with you and follow you everywhere. He loves to play, be outside and meal time! He is eager to find a loving family to share his happy-go-lucky personality with. Sadly, Rocky and Zoey's owner passed away and this pair another family to love. Come meet them today - you'll fall in love! The adoption fee for this bonded pair is $400, so if you decide to adopt you will pay $200 for each dog. Both have received a microchip, vaccines and spay/neuter surgery. If you would like to set up a Meet & Greet and be considered for adoption, please click on the button with the pet’s name to fill out an application. Someone will contact you within 24 hours. If you have difficulty with the application, please email us at Rescue@AnthemPets.org. NOTE: Only Arizona based adoption inquiries will be considered. Anthem Pets Website: www.anthempets.org
