Story
Meet Honor, mama to the Land Rover litter, one of seven who came to us from El Cajon after a family who couldn't keep the group. Thanks to fosters, we were able to step in to help. She's 9 years old and weighs 24 pounds. Honor's a spaniel mix, chestnut brown with a soft, feathered coat, and she carries a little wear on her teeth that hints at a past we can't fully piece together. She also has some mild arthritis, managed with a joint supplement, and it hasn't slowed down how much love she has to give. In her foster home she lives with a 6lb. Chihuahua, and the two of them cohabitate like old friends. Honor adores the daughter in her foster family and lights up around kids in general, seeking out human affection any chance she gets. She's not much for toys though, when the resident dog tried handing one over, Honor just looked at it, unsure what she was supposed to do with something that wasn't a person. She does great with other dogs, loves kids, and will absolutely take a pup cup if you're offering. Once she found a comfy dog bed, that became her whole world, though given the choice she'd rather be pressed up against someone she loves than curled up alone. If you think Honor sounds like the right fit for your family, head to hitlivingfoundation.org/adopt to apply. Est DOB: 03/11/2019  Adoption Fee: $350

WELCOME TO CAMP COCKER RESCUE, ROCKY! *Rocky is being fostered in Los Angeles County Rocky was rescued in Mongolia and transferred to Korea through the Camp Cocker × Cocker Friends partnership. Since arriving in Korea, he has been a lively, affectionate, and intelligent companion — full of personality and joy. Rocky is a healthy, high-energy dog who loves to play, explore, and engage with people.
He has thrived on attention and activity in his foster environment. *IMPORTANT NOTE: Rocky does have some significant guarding issues which means he will need a home with NO children (not even teenagers)! An adult-only home with people that are dog savvy enough to be able to commit to NEVER taking anything from Rocky's mouth! Please read these detailed notes from Rocky's Korean foster: - He is very possessive of his toys and will try to ingest them (rubber balls, stuffing, plastic — anything). It is very hard (and potentially unsafe) to take things away from him. - Smaller toys that fit perfectly in his mouth increase his excitement level even more and could put other dogs at risk. Large, indestructible toys are actually calming for him — he will hold them in his mouth and settle. - When outside, he becomes very excited. After about 15 minutes, his excitement level gradually decreases. - If he has something in his mouth, even if urgent, please do NOT put your hand in his mouth. Instead, redirect & distract him by offering food or tossing a treat away to shift his focus first. He targets everything — not just food, but tissues, bedding stuffing, plastic, random objects, etc. - He is generally tolerant with other dogs. ** Please note that any age provided is only an estimate, based on veterinary examination. ›>› CAMP COCKER RECOMMENDS: For current status, updates, photos, videos & details about Rocky, please visit his webpage at https://www.campcocker.com/dog/rocky-2026 & also follow our social media. *Rocky is being fostered in Los Angeles County APPLY TO ADOPT Rocky at www.campcocker.com/adoption-process #CampCockerRocky

ELSA IS BEING FOSTERED IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA ELSA'S STORY: Elsa is a beautiful adult female Cocker Spaniel. Presumed to be a hit-by-car dog, she was rescued from the LA County Carson Shelter on 1/11/24, and taken directly to the VCA in anticipation of orthopedic surgery. Elsa was picked up by animal control with duct tape wrapped around a fractured leg. :( The shelter sent her to an outside vet for x-rays and removal of the duct-taped bandages, which were replaced with a soft cast while she awaited further treatment. Elsa saw a surgical specialist who repaired her radial ulna fracture, and she is now receiving minimal post-op therapy in her foster home. Elsa has been sweet and friendly with her foster siblings - as well as her care providers. What a good girl! Her age estimate* is about 7-9 years old, and she weighs about 22 pounds. Elsa exhibits some stranger danger (being disturbed by, and barking at people on the street, people she doesn't know) and also has separation anxiety. She'll need some focused training with a force-free trainer to help her with these issues. Don't miss the video of Elsa on her first pack walk in the park with her friends Hershey and Violet (in her wheels)! *Please note that any age provided is only an estimate, based on veterinary examination. >> APPLY TO ADOPT ELSA at Camp Cocker Rescue: www.campcocker.com/elsa ELSA IS BEING FOSTERED IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA Be sure to check out other available dogs at www.campcocker.com/available-dogs THANK YOU FOR GIVING RESCUE & SHELTER DOGS A CHANCE!
