Story
Lily is a sweet 10.5-year-old English Liver Cocker Spaniel. She's a petite 20lbs. Her fur is silky smooth and her ears are as soft as a lamb's ear! She was surrendered from a breeder and is learning how to be a yard-loving dog. She loves to run around her fenced-in yard with all 4 paws in the air as she runs. She's up to date on all her vaccinations. She is moderately blind in one eye. Both eyes receive drops. She is getting much better at her potty skills. She can 'hold it' for 4-5 hours. She loves her feline foster sister and enjoys spending the weekend with another small dog. She has been on the sofa a few times but seems to prefer her doggie bed or the first floor of a cat tower! She is cat-friendly and good with children over 6 years old. She is practicing walking on a leash. The ideal home for her would be one with a secure fenced yard where she could run and play. Leash walking will be a learning process. Lily will love to be the center of your universe! ** A fenced yard is mandatory for this fur baby. If you do not have a fenced yard, your application will be denied. No exceptions. ** SOCKS adopts to families in Florida, Georgia, Southern Alabama and southeastern Mississippi. If you are out of the state of Florida you would need to travel to Florida to complete your adoption. Please note that we do check vet references and your current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, Heartworm testing and be able to provide proof of purchase of HW prevention. All dogs and cats in your home must be spayed or neutered. We will not set up a meet and greet until your application has been received, reviewed and approved. Adoptions are not done on a first come first served basis. We will accept applications and then screen all and choose the best match. Only approved applicants will be contacted. ************************************** To apply to adopt me, go to this website: https://www.saveourcockerspaniels.org/foster-adoption-application **************************************

Story
"My name is Scarlett, named for my silky beautiful red hair. I am 6 1/2 years old and I weigh about 35 lbs. My story wasn’t as beautiful as my hair, until recently. I was used for breeding my entire life. I produced so many beautiful little ones, and I pray that they’re all safe and loved. Now it’s my turn to feel safe and loved, and it was so scary at first, when I realized I was free from my duties. I felt lost and insecure. People wanted to touch me? And it had nothing to do with my babies? You see, I was saved by a rescue who wanted me. They got me a surgery so I won’t have any more babies, my body is tired from years of that. I first went to a wonderful foster mom, who patiently and lovingly showed me that I was finally going to be loved. Now I am being fostered in the Orlando area, with a family with a child and other dogs and a fenced in backyard! My morning ritual is zoomies in the yard and on the back patio after breakfast. I hop like a bunny all around and enjoy all of the smells in the yard. I adore leash walks too. I can pull a little on the leash, in my excitement to take in all of the smells - but I’m a good girl and try not to pull too hard. I’m potty trained but I do need to be let out or taken for a walk after my meals and even in between. I’m good with other dogs. I’m good with all people, I’m a bit slow to warm up. Meeting new people is still a new experience for me. I do love to cuddle, once I warm up though! I am up to date on vaccines, had a dental, on heartworm preventative, and microchipped. I do require daily eye drops but they are not expensive." Scarlett's adoption fee is $350. Scarlett also requires a fenced-in yard. SOCKS adopts to families in Florida, Georgia, Southern Alabama, and southeastern Mississippi. If you are out of the state of Florida, you would need to travel to Florida to complete your adoption.
