Story
❤️Rusty Available For Adoption❤️ 🐾 Hi, I’m Rusty… and I’m looking for my forever human 🐾 Hey there! My name is Rusty, and I’m a 3-year-old English Cocker Spaniel with a big heart and an even bigger love for people. My foster mom says I’m very handsome (I won’t argue with her 😉), but what really makes me special is how much I love to be close to my humans. I’m what they call a “Velcro dog”—basically, if you’re moving, I’m moving too. If you’re sitting, I’m right there soaking up all the love I can get! I’ve had a bit of a journey, but I’m healthy, strong, and ready for my next chapter. I’m: ✔️ Up to date on all my shots ✔️ Microchipped ✔️ Neutered ✔️ Finished with my heartworm treatment (I’ll just need to test negative before it’s official—I promise I’m worth the wait!) Let me tell you my favorite things: 🍖 FOOD (seriously… I love food) 🚶‍♂️ Walks—sniffing is my superpower 🏃‍♂️ Running full speed in the backyard like the wind is chasing me Oh—and I’m potty trained too! I do really well with my routine, though I may have the occasional accident while I’m still settling in and learning your home. Because I’ve got lots of energy and enthusiasm, I’d do best in a home with: 🏡 A fenced yard (so I can zoom safely!) 👨‍👩‍👧 Older kids or adults (I might accidentally knock over little ones—I just get so excited!) 🐶 Other dogs? Sure! I’m friendly! 🐱 Cats? Hmm… probably not my thing What I really want is someone who will love me as much as I love them. I’ve got a lot of affection saved up, and I’m ready to give it all to my forever family. Right now, I’m available as a foster-to-adopt through SOCKS while I finish up my heartworm journey—but don’t let that stop you. I promise, I’m worth it. 💛 So… what do you think? Got room on your couch (and in your heart) for a sweet, loyal, slightly goofy guy like me? **Please apply to adopt at www.saveourcockerspaniels.org** SOCKS adopts to families in Florida, Georgia, Southern Alabama, and southeastern Mississippi. If you are out of the state of Florida, you would need to travel to Florida to complete your adoption. Please note that we do check vet references, and your current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing, and be able to provide proof of purchase of heartworm prevention. All dogs and cats in your home must be spayed or neutered. We will not set up a meet and greet until your application has been received, reviewed, and approved.  Adoptions are not done on a first come, first served basis. We will accept applications and then screen all and choose the best match. Only approved applicants will be contacted.

Story
Suzzie—also known as Suzzie Q, Suzzie Doo, Suzzers, and a dozen other nicknames—is a sweet, affectionate girl who is happiest curled up beside her person. She is a 7 year old English Cocker Spaniel. When she first arrived, she was very shy and unsure of everything around her. She’s come a long way since then, though she can still be a little sensitive to sudden movements. With patience and gentle reassurance, her loving personality really shines through. She’s highly motivated by snacks (food is her first love) and absolutely adores pets, especially ear scratches. Most of her day is spent snoozing, but the moment she senses activity she’s right there, hopeful for a treat or some attention. Suzzie knows “no” very well and is polite around doorways, often pausing and waiting for permission before going through. She’s mostly learned “sit,” and is currently working on “wait.” Mealtime is her favorite event of the day—she gets so excited that she’ll eagerly headbutt your legs as you carry her bowl, then dash into her crate to wait for it. Because she eats quickly, a slow feeder is a big help. She has bursts of playful energy and loves zooming around the backyard, though she’s still getting used to her collar and leash. (She’s making progress!) Her crate is her safe space—she relaxes there during the workday with a midday break, runs to it when she feels unsure, and sleeps through the night without accidents. Just be aware: if her crate isn’t covered, she may greet the sunrise with a chorus of howls! She’s also enjoyed a few successful sleepovers in the big bed on weekends. Suzzie is great with other dogs but cats are unknown. She is also great with children over the age of 8. All in all, Suzzie is a true gem—gentle, loving, and full of heart. She’s ready to bring so much warmth and joy to the lucky person who welcomes her home. Suzzie is up to date on vaccines, spayed, microchipped, Heartworm tested and on monthly Heartworm and Flea Prevention. If interested in adopting Suzzie submit an application at Saveourcockerspaniels.org. Her adoption fee is $350. **Please apply to adopt at www.saveourcockerspaniels.org** SOCKS adopts to families in Florida, Georgia, Southern Alabama, and southeastern Mississippi. Story
❤️Available For Adoption❤️ Welcome Skye to SOCKS! Skye is a 7 month old, 22 lb English Cocker Spaniel. She’s as spunky as she is cute. Skye never meets a stranger and she adores other dogs. We’re not sure how she does around cats, but she’s very curious and nosey, so cats may not appreciate her trying to make friends with them. She’s a bundle of energy and loves to chase a ball and play with her toys, but she also has her moments where she’ll settle down and curl up next to you (or on your lap if you let her). Skye isn’t housebroken yet, but she’s working on it. She’s also working on learning some basic commands like sit, kennel, and waiting to be released when opening doors to go in and out of the house. She’s a fast learner and eager to please! She’s generally a very quiet girl and will only bark occasionally if she gets startled. She is up to date on all her vaccines and prevention and has a clean bill of health from the vet. She has had a few issues with UTIs in the past, but her last urinalysis came back clear and the vet believes that going through a heat cycle and allowing her to mature anatomically will significantly decrease the chances of her having recurring UTI issues going forward. ❤️ **Please apply to adopt at www.saveourcockerspaniels.org** SOCKS adopts to families in Florida, Georgia, Southern Alabama, and southeastern Mississippi. Story
Even though Duran is blind and deaf he is confident and warm. He is 9.5 yrs old and carries himself as a distinguished gentleman. He participates fully in the life of the family — following all by scent. Duran is a happy guy, and loves being around others. He quickly learned where the pet door is and goes through it at will. Duran is house broken and even though he did mark his territory before neuter, he hasn’t done so since. He did run into walls and things while learning his space, but now seamlessly navigates throughout the house and yard, and into his kennel where he likes his rests. He sleeps in kennel though he has protested twice so he might like to sleep on the big bed now. He currently eats in kennel as one of his foster fur brothers tries to steal his food, and him theirs. He’s a smart guy, quickly learns where things are. He is easily trainable — He has easily learned where he needs to step up and will slow down his approach on his walks. He has learned he isn’t allowed on the knee wall on the screen porch. He’s very devoted to his family, quickly forms bonds and has a great personality. Foster mom says he’s a precious boy! Duran has all of his vaccinations, is Heartworm tested and on monthly Heartworm and flea prevention, microchipped and neutered. He weighs 37 lbs. Adoption fee is $350. **Please apply to adopt at www.saveourcockerspaniels.org** SOCKS adopts to families in Florida, Georgia, Southern Alabama, and southeastern Mississippi.
