Story
Polly Anna is 27 lbs, blind and approximately 5 years old. She would be best with someone who loves to cuddle with their pups since her favorite place is your lap! She is a pretty chill girl and will quickly adapt to a new home. We are looking for a home where she is either an only dog or there’s one other sighted dog. Once Polly Anna knows your schedule she is housebroken unless it is raining and like most cockers thinks she will melt if she gets wet. Her non-negotiables are she needs a fenced yard, no cats, someone who either works from home or is retired because how can she sit in your lap if you’re not there? Polly Anna does have a heart condition controlled by medication twice a day. She loves pill pockets so that is easy. Polly Anna is not crate trained and does not appreciate being shut away from her people. If interested in adopting your new best friend, companion and lap warmer submit an application at saveourcockerspaniels.org. ❤️ **Please apply to adopt at www.saveourcockerspaniels.org** SOCKS adopts to families in Florida, Georgia, Southern Alabama, and southeastern Mississippi. If you are out of the state of Florida, you would need to travel to Florida to complete your adoption. Please note that we do check vet references, and your current pets must be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing, and be able to provide proof of purchase of heartworm prevention. All dogs and cats in your home must be spayed or neutered. We will not set up a meet and greet until your application has been received, reviewed, and approved.  Adoptions are not done on a first come, first served basis. We will accept applications and then screen all and choose the best match. Only approved applicants will be contacted.

Story
Let us introduce you to LOGAN! Logan is a 14 year old cocker spaniel mix. He and his siblings were in boarding for about a year, due to his mother being ill. Sadly, his mother passed away and he and his siblings were stuck. We love our seniors and stepped up to help. Logan is a gentle and loving creature. He follows you around and quietly asks for attention. Logan went down in his back end while in boarding. The vets are unsure what happened but with physical therapy he got up and moving again. He does still have some mobility issues (drags his foot, walks sideways, falls down a little, cant go in reverse) but dont you dare tell him! He is master chiller but likes slow short walks to explore outside (this also helps in strengthening his back end) and do his version of zoomies (bounce run, and sit and dig around). He coexists with everything and just hangs. He is quiet and a great calming presence to have around. Other than his mobility issues Logan is pretty healthy, but he does have some monthly expenses for medications to help him move and groove ( anti inflammatory, joint chews, allergy meds)
