Story
Apply to Adopt Me! Meet Winnie, a little girl with a BIG personality and an even bigger heart! Winnie is an 9- month old Cocker Spaniel who may take a little time to warm up, but once she feels safe, she has nothing but love to give. She can get nervous around too many people and may bark when she feels scared, so she needs slow introductions and a family who will respect her boundaries and let her build confidence at her own pace. Winnie is a super smart, high energy girl who LOVES her toys, treats, and learning new things! She already knows sit, down, and stay, and she is learning to use dog puzzles to keep her clever little brain busy. Her zoomies are the cutest, and this girl is FAST! She also LOVES the water. Looking for an adventure buddy? She’s your girl! Want a couch cuddle bug after a long day? She can be that too!  Winnie absolutely loves other dogs and does amazing with her foster brothers, but be prepared because this girl plays ROUGH! We are talking full body slams, wrestling, and nonstop fun. She needs another playful, energetic dog who can match her play style, so a senior dog or a pup who prefers a calmer lifestyle would not be the right fit. A dog sibling that matches her energetic play style is a must for her forever home.  Because Winnie is still learning to manage her excitement and can be uncomfortable when people get too close, she needs a home without young children. She is fully crate trained and is still working on her potty training. She learns incredibly quickly, but continued training is important for her success. Her adopter will be required to attend a training class in Orlando with her current trainer and continue practicing the training techniques at home. This girl needs room to run and play, so a house with a securely fenced backyard is a must. Apartment living would not be a good fit for her. She is also quite vocal, so her family should be ready for her to share her opinions! Winnie LOVES car rides, but unfortunately, she gets extremely carsick and vomits. Also her gorgeous, long coat requires daily brushing and regular professional grooming. Winnie is looking for a family who will embrace her goofy personality, keep her active, continue her training, and give her the time she needs to feel safe. In return, you’ll get a loving, playful, water loving girl who will keep you laughing, moving and cuddling for years to come. If you live in the Central Florida/Orlando area and believe Winnie might be your perfect match, complete an adoption application and tell us more about you. October 20, 2026, 1:17 pm

Story
Panther is being fostered in PA.9/8/26: Panther continues to heal from her first TECA surgery, an infection delayed healing a little bit and we hope to be able to remove her sutures in another week or so. Her sutures have been removed from her eye and it has healed very well. She's feeling a little shy and will only let us take pictures of her "good side"! Such a prima donna! She is still waiting for BDRA to raise the remaining funds so that we can schedule her second TECA surgery. We are about halfway there but until we have raised the money, she has to wait a little longer. My name is Panther and I want a home where I will have someone to cuddle me all the time! I will follow you around and show you just how much love I have to give. I live with a bunch of other dogs in my foster home and I like them all but if I have to be the only dog that you love, well, I'm fine with that too!My favorite thing in the world is Churro treats. My foster mom likes to hide medicine in them and she thinks I don't know it, but I don't care because Churro bites make everything yummy! I'm not a picky eater but when my foster mom puts some homemade food on top of my kibble, oh boy is that the good stuff! I gobble that down so fast!I like going out for a little while but I would rather be inside laying on the couch or a bed, even the floor. Sometimes it gets just too hot out there and I don't like that. I will walk for you on a leash but I would rather just run along with my foster mom through my fenced in yard. It's so much fun following her around.I've had a bit of a rough time, they just stole my left eye, I don't know what they plan to do with it, it's broken, but whatever. I don't even miss it a little bit. They also did some big surgery to my left ear. My foster mom calls it a TECA and the surgeon explained to me that it was a Total Ear Canal Ablation. I don't know what that means but I know they took all the yucky things out of my ear and now it feels so much better. They tell me I'm going to have the same thing done in my right ear. I can't wait, my right ear hurts so badly too! My foster mom said that they are waiting until they raise the money to do it. I don't know what money is, but I hope they raise it soon so I can feel all better!Right now I am not looking my prettiest, but I am healing every day and my fur will grow back good as new!My foster mom says the family that gets to live with me forever will be a very lucky family. I'm the best girl ever!BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Meet Blaze, a lovable boy looking for a home as your one and only pet! ❤️ We adopted him from Osceola County Animal Services a few months ago and adore him. He has been wonderful with our kids! He gives hugs and kisses, loves being held like a baby, and enjoys playing, though he sometimes needs help knowing when to stop. Blaze is relaxed, calm, and loving when alone with us and the kids. Around our other dogs, he becomes nervous, jealous, and overly protective—our primary concern and reason for finding him a new home. He doesn’t get along with cats and needs a home without other dogs or cats. House training has been a struggle since adoption. We suspect having other dogs around contributes, but aren’t certain. He’ll need patience and a consistent routine. We love Blaze dearly, and this is a difficult decision. We believe he deserves a home where he feels secure and gets the cuddles and attention he loves. Please reach out if you could be his person! 🐾
