If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at  https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/   Marty is a 3-4 year old male Party Cocker Spaniel who weighs in at 20 pounds.  This dog's adoption fee is $500.  If you are still interested, please read more below. Marty is a very sweet boy; he’s super shy, but he is finding his trust in people more each day. He is looking for a patient, loving home.  Marty has made huge strides in the short time since coming to ARF. He is starting to show his silly quirky personality. When his foster mom calls him he will show his face briefly and then quickly return to his newly found comfort…his bed. It seems Marty has not experienced the basic necessities until now. He so wants to enjoy all the wonderful amenities of his foster home – if only he can be brave enough to try all the new things! Marty is working on his potty training outside. He is pad trained. Marty will require a fenced yard so he can explore outside off leash. He will also need another dog in the home. Every day he is learning how to be a brave pooch by watching his foster sibling. If you are willing to give him a few weeks of peace he will give you years of dedication. His eyes are soulful and his heart is learning to trust. You can turn that sad face into a happy ending for this deserving boy! Marty is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations and will be neutered as of June 3rd.  This dog's family will be required to complete a basic obedience course of their choosing.  A meeting will not be scheduled until you have an approved application, so if you are interested in adopting this dog, fill out an Online Application today!  Once your application has been approved, an ARF volunteer will contact you to arrange a meeting.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.   Thank you for considering a rescue pet from A.R.F.-Animal Rescue Foundation! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please contact BRu for more information about this pet. Thanks for your interest in a pet from A.R.F.! If you see a pet here, they are still available for adoption and you should apply through our adoption application on our website at  https://www.arf-il.org/adopt/application/   Ralphie is a 4-5 year old male Cocker Spaniel who weighs in at 24 pounds.  This dog's adoption fee is $650.  If you are still interested, please read more below. Ralphie is a sweet and affectionate dog despite being very skittish. He loves his butt skritches and lots of pets. He enjoys playing with his doggie toys inside and tennis ball when he's done with the zoomies outside. Ralphie is looking for a patient human to help him adjust to the world. He is extremely skittish and runs & hides when exposed to new sounds, people, locations, and quick movements. He is very insecure and needs lots of positive attention. Ralphie is very bonded with his foster mom and follows her everywhere but still initially shows fear when she approaches him. He does show some resource guarding with toys and his foster mom, however he is slowly working through that. Ralphie is ok with other dogs if given time for a slow introduction. Ralphie is progressing with potty training, his diaper is dry during the night and randomly during the day. Leash manners are challenging because of his fear of new experiences and his insecurities, so a fenced in yard would be ideal to help him settle in. Ralphie is microchipped, up to date on all vaccinations and will be neutered as of June 3rd.
