Story
Belle is a HIGH energy 13 month old cocker spaniel whose one year birthday was May 5th. She definitely would do good somewhere with a big yard or free roam. She’s a working breed so she needs a lot of exercise. Unfortunately there’s been some personal changes in my life and my schedule is way too busy to give Belle her proper needs + I won’t be able to afford a lot of things at this time. Belle has slight separation anxiety, which came from her mom. She needs mental stimulation if not she can be a little destructive if you leave things out while she’s alone. But does fine with just her toys or bone. She is completely house trained and she is crate trained ( she sleeps in her crate all night). Shes left alone for 4-5 hours and does fine. She’s up to date on all her shots, already had her first heat cycle a few months back. Shes not yet fixed due to not being able to afford it. I just want her to be happy

Story
PLEASE NOTE! Unless stated otherwise, our dogs and puppies are located in Arkansas, and transported to the north/northeast once adopted. We do occasionally have dogs/puppies placed in foster homes in the north/northeast. In the cases where the pet is somewhere other than Arkansas, it will be noted beside the name of the pet.12/14/24 Josie is a 10 month old cocker spaniel mix. She is the sweetest, most fun loving girl who is great with everyone she meets. She is currently in a home with children (newborn to preschool), cats and other dogs, and she is great with all of them! Josie was part of an accidental litter. When the owners couldn't find her a home they dumped her on a family member, and that is who has her now, but can't keep her. She is mostly kept outdoors but is allowed inside too. She is not quite housetrained yet, but is working on it. It's hard with multiple pets, a newborn baby, and toddler/preschool kids. It's a busy household which makes it difficult to watch her for cues that she needs out to potty. In a home of her own, with a little focused attention, she will learn. Josie and her brother Jax have so much love to offer a family. They just need to find someone to give them a chance! She does a very minor cherry eye (prolapsed tear duct) in one eye. It is not bad enough to need surgery and does not interfere with her vision. There is no treatment needed at this time. Please see the last photo. :Josie is fully vetted and ready to go to a new home now!  *We have more pictures of her on our Facebook or you can email us and we can send more. This site only allows to put 4 pictures. Located in Arkansas, but transport is available. Story
Meet Redmond and Ryan! These adorable brothers are a unique mix of cocker spaniel and (most likely) chihuahua, and they’ve inherited the best traits from both sides! At about 5 months old, they were found wandering with their mom, Farrah, and are now settling into life in a loving foster home.Redmond is the bigger brother at around 13 pounds, while little Ryan is just 5.5 pounds—but don’t let his size fool you, he’s full of spunk! Both boys have short coats and sweet spaniel features, and they’re playful, affectionate, and have wonderful temperaments. They’re already thriving in foster care and can’t wait to find forever families of their own. Whether you’re looking for a pint-sized snuggle bug or a slightly larger sidekick, one of these boys might be your perfect match!IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. If you are seeing our pets posted in your state, that's because you live near a transport stop, they are not currently at that location. Petfinder lists our pets as 'Out of Town' pets at other locations, and Adopt-a-Pet lists our location as a Transport stop. Those are currently the only options they offer to make this clear, so we put this description we've put at the bottom to explain it. You can read more about transport here: www.charmingpetrescue.org/transportWe understand transport is not an option for everyone, but we offer it at the cost we pay the transport company for those who wish to adopt from us.June 17, 2025, 6:41 am

Story
Meet Ryan!Ryan is a one-of-a-kind pup with a cocker spaniel mama and (likely) a chihuahua dad—talk about a dynamic duo! At about 5 months old and just 5.5 pounds, this tiny guy was found wandering with his mom and brother, and he’s now learning what love and comfort feel like in his foster home.Don’t let his size fool you—Ryan is full of personality! He’s got the playful energy of a puppy, the affectionate nature of a lap dog, and the determination of a one-dog pest control service. That’s right—Ryan is an exterminator. Spiders, flies, cockroaches, June bugs—none of them stand a chance when he’s on duty. He spots it, he chases it, he wins. With his adorable spaniel features, short coat, and easygoing temperament, Ryan is the perfect mix of cute and courageous. He’s thriving in foster care and would love to find a forever home where he can play, snuggle, and continue his crusade against creepy crawlies.IMPORTANT: Please read all below, especially if you live outside of Texas, which is where our rescue is located.Apply to adopt on our website: https://www.charmingpetrescue.org/adoptAll of our animals are spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up to date on shots.ALL of our animals are located in Boerne, TX, but transport after adoption is available to other states for a $300 fee for dogs or an additional fee varying by location for cats. Story
Star is the tiniest springer spaniel we have ever seen, and the sweetest! She loves to cuddle and will happily preoccupy herself by tossing her stuffy toys around. Her training sessions have been going very well, she has so much fun working and is very food motivated! We think she would be a great adventure buddy for an active person but will love to settle down with you in your favorite spot on the couch as well. She is so excited to meet you so stop by soon!     APPROXIMATE WEIGHT:  22 lbs. ESTIMATED DOB:  5/4/2021 GOOD WITH OTHER DOGS:  yes GOOD WITH KIDS:  8+ GOOD WITH CATS:  Unknown REQUIRES A FENCE:  No ACTIVITY LEVEL:  High energy LIKES TO VOCALIZE:  yes SPECIAL NEEDS:  no BREED EXPERIENCE NEEDED: no  APPROPRIATE PLACEMENT FOR 1ST TIME DOG OWNER?  yes FREE OBEDIENCE TRAINING IS OFFERED WITH ALL DOG ADOPTIONS &#226&#128&#139Please note that we are often asked if dogs are "house trained".  The dogs are in fact living in a kennel environment during their time with us.  Even if they have previously lived in a home and been trained - the stress of the change and the new home can sometimes cause regression and require some additional training.  We feel that it's best for all adopters to be prepared for this possibility. Visit our adoption page for details about our process, and to fill out an adoption application.  All animals come spayed/neutered, UTD on vaccines, and microchipped.  If the animals age or health prevents any of these from being completed prior to adoption a voucher is issued for the services to be performed.  If you have any questions about the animal, or our adoption process, please email adopt@littleguild.org.  The Little Guild is a 501c(3) federally recognized non-profit organization devoted to saving the lives of homeless pets.  June 17, 2025, 2:32 pm
