PLEASE SHARE FAR AND WIDE! Yandel, and Thalia, rescues from the Alphonso 5 SSDR dogs brought from Mexico are ready to go to a kind and patient home (Thalia can be an only and needs a calm, loving owner who will give her space and time....)...she's fine w other dogs but isn't reliant on them. She's about 25 lbs and is a beagle, cocker spaniel, Chihuahua blend. She's NOT aggressive, just a shy wallflower. Her sibling Yandel loves other dogs and can either be adopted with his sister or go to a home with other dogs. Both are fine with cats. These darling dogs have been in the program far too long through no fault of their own. 2 adopters have failed them due to not understanding they need space initially and time to acclimate to new people and environments. Both just received medical exams, rabies, bordetella and dhlpp and they received Fi microchips from Street Savvy Dog Rescue at intake when they arrived a bit over a year ago. PLEASE give these darling dogs a chance. Their original owner in Mexico died and they were being fed ONCE EVERY 3 DAYS by a neighbor. They have come from trauma. They will be good, and sweet little companions for a senior. To apply for both, Thalia or Yandel, please visit us online at Streetsavvydogrescue.org THEY WILL BE AT THE ADOPTION EVENT THIS SATURDAY! Thalia and Yandel are a darling bonded pair of, 2-4 yr old, King Charles Cavalier Spaniel and Beagle mixes (the breed is just based on how they look, it’s always a guessing game!), both around 20l3 lbs. They are both very shy and don’t show well at first, but once they warm up (it might take a day or two!), they are both going to be asking you to pet them and snuggle! They are both potty trained and walk well on a leash. Thalia and Yandel need a quiet adult-only home. They are both great with cats and other lowkey dogs. They would make perfect companions for retired folks, someone working from home, or someone who needs two special pups to dote on and receive reciprocal adoration and doting in return! Of the two, Thalia is definitely the more timid one, but once she warms up to you, she is the absolute sweetest girl! She will nudge you with her nose until you pet her. She hasn’t played with toys yet, but she will collect them into a pile to save for later. She also gets the puppy zoomies in the morning, and it is the cutest! Yandel is the slightly more confident one of the duo, he warms up a bit faster and may get to the point of enjoying walks (whereas Thalia is most likely going to stay a homebody). This guy is a sweetheart! He will chill right next to you wherever you are, he will hop up onto the bed when you lie down to go to sleep, and curl up next to your head. He is also fine to sleep on a dog bed if you prefer that." Both are 2-3 yrs and ready for adoption! These 2 are a great size, are low key per their breed mix.....and will make perfect companion dogs for retired folks! Thalia is shyer while Yandel is the more outgoing of the 2. FINE WITH CATS and other non boisterous dogs as they prefer a quieter household. Breed: King Charles Cavalier Spaniel/beagle Completely vetted. Like lap dogs/ couch snugglers? Here are your new buddies! Both cute and lovely companions who brighten anyone's day!!! Story
Feleen the dream! The best little companion you’ve ever seen! This gorgeous girl doesn’t have to work any magic or perform any tricks to win hearts. Sure she is cute but that alone will only get a girl so far. Feleen has a charming personality, a gentle demeanor, and is a fun-loving girl with good looks to match. Feleen sure looks like a cocker spaniel but in rescue we cannot guarantee breed or age given we do not know their history. Weighing in at a perfectly petite 20 lbs and estimated to be 2 years old, she is 100% dreamy companion material. I can see her living her best life as a family girl, playing games of fetch and taking after-dinner strolls, followed by cozy couch snuggles. Thanks to her size and quiet nature, Feleen is suited for a variety of different homes whether it’s an apartment in the city or a home in the suburbs. Wherever her next chapter takes her, we know she will have your heart and quickly become a favorite among friends and neighbors. We introduced Feleen to a handful of dogs and she is a friendly girl but not the playful canine-companion type. She is so people centered, she could easily live in a home with other dogs but she does not need a canine companion to feel complete- just her people. A feline companion would absolutely be welcome though, she was incredibly friendly and gentle when meeting our house cat. It was adorable! Her gorgeous coat will need occasional brushings but she doesn’t mind that at all. She will be loved by the groomer for her easy-going nature and in-between you will appreciate brushing her golden, silky fur. This girl is an easy breezy, lovely little lady and lucky for you she is looking for a fur-ever home. Adopt Feleen today and get ready to live a dreamy life together! She cannot wait to have a person of her own at the other end of the leash and we sure hope its you! If you have any questions about Feleen or would like us to test her for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure she is the correct fit for you and your life! Please email kristin@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 5 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes.
