The chance to dream in color. Can you imagine?Because of the kindness of a couple, Buttons now has the chance to dream in color, to dream of a life much richer than what he had. Trust us when we say that it really won't take much to top his previous life - because it was almost too sad to imagine.A young couple found Buttons to be in a very bad situation - they took him out of that life and tried for a short time to give him more than he had but, with a baby on the way and a sweet husky, they didn't have the room.But they kindly got Buttons to us. He was very much underweight and, worse than that, his paws were swollen, with sores on the bottom of them - most likely the result of living in a crate and standing for long periods of time in his own urine. Here is the colorful news, though - things are only getting better for Buttons. He is on medication, his paws are healing and he is gaining weight. He has some friends in Panda's and he is now able to lead a relaxed and carefree life.The only missing part is his new family. A new family, a new home and great health would make his life burst with color. Can you imagine? From nothing to everything.Buttons is just under two years old and appears to be a gorgeous cocker spaniel with one blue eye. He has the sweetest disposition and his kisses let you know how much he appreciates all the good that is coming to him.Do you have room in your heart for Buttons? Story
Meet Elliott! He and his 'sister,' Olivia, ended up in the shelter after their owner was evicted. I'm not sure who took them in, but the employees weren't even told their names. As soon as they could leave, Miss Vivienne was there to pick them up.   Elliott came bounding out the front door of the shelter.  His tail was wagging non-stop and he was smiling from ear to ear.  He was so happy to be out and free again.  Elliott quickly walked over to the car and was beside himself when he saw Olivia was already there.  Their life was definitely taking an uptick.  He no longer had to worry about her.  (They were not allowed to be in the same run at the shelter.)   Elliott and Olivia are in the same foster home, but no longer hang out strictly with each other.  Elliott has made friends with several of the resident dogs.  They run and play and have a huge time outside, weather permitting.  They also all lounge together inside.  Elliott loves his foster mom and frequently wants to be petted.  He has learned the doggie door so he can come and go as he pleases (and now no inside accidents.)  This little guy gets along well with everyone.  He is even good with the resident cats.   Elliott is neutered, up to date on shots, heartworm negative, and microchipped.
