  Maebelle is what you call a Parti Cocker Spaniel, a beautiful black and white girl that needs some stability in her life with the start of this new year.   At 2 years of age, she is 21 pounds and looking for a quiet and strong family with leadership training skills and a love for a smart dog breed. This sweet, silly, tail-wagging pup is pure joy wrapped in fur.  From the moment you say hello, her tail starts going a mile a minute. She has a goofy sense of humor with her over the top rolling in the grass, jumping over the couch like a cat and full body hugs. Maebelle is affectionate and gentle like the demure little girl she appears to be.  She thrives on love and attention and most of all needs a really final home to call her own.  Cocker Spaniel experience is a good thing too!  Belly rubs?  Yes please.  Cuddle time on the couch?  Even better.  Want a dog that will be your shadow as you go room to room doing your household chores?  Oh you can count on that for sure.  She just wants to bask in the presence of her favorite human when you are home.  She can be bouncy but will also settle down after she gets her excited wiggles out.  She can be a serene girl who will make you feel like you the most important person in her life.  Maebelle needs a calm home environment.  Not a lot of coming and going people with intense activity every day.  She is a little lady that could help you read a book cover to cover and not make a peep.  She is in a foster home where she will stay until Critter Cavalry Rescue finds the perfect mature family, couple or person.  If you are interested in this girl please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com    PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJanuary 13, 2026, 6:14 pm

The chance to dream in color. Can you imagine?Because of the kindness of a couple, Buttons now has the chance to dream in color, to dream of a life much richer than what he had. Trust us when we say that it really won't take much to top his previous life - because it was almost too sad to imagine.A young couple found Buttons to be in a very bad situation - they took him out of that life and tried for a short time to give him more than he had but, with a baby on the way and a sweet husky, they didn't have the room.But they kindly got Buttons to us. He was very much underweight and, worse than that, his paws were swollen, with sores on the bottom of them - most likely the result of living in a crate and standing for long periods of time in his own urine. Here is the colorful news, though - things are only getting better for Buttons. He is on medication, his paws are healing and he is gaining weight. He has some friends in Panda's and he is now able to lead a relaxed and carefree life.The only missing part is his new family. A new family, a new home and great health would make his life burst with color. Can you imagine? From nothing to everything.Buttons is just under two years old and appears to be a gorgeous cocker spaniel with one blue eye. He has the sweetest disposition and his kisses let you know how much he appreciates all the good that is coming to him.Do you have room in your heart for Buttons? Shiloh is looking for a foster or adopt home.  She is 12 years old and weighs 30 pounds.  Shiloh is a beautiful deep chocolate and white cocker spaniel who was surrendered by her owner after being unable to keep her.  At the vet's office, she is very quiet and shy but we know in a home, she'll blossom with love.  Shiloh has excellent leash manners and is keeping her crate clean at the vet's office, however, she would love a crate free home.  Shiloh met a senior cocker nose to nose and she was fine; however, we don't think a home with an active, playful pup would be ideal for Shiloh.  She is a chill girl looking for a calm household.  She is located in Alexandria, VA.  If you can open your home to Shiloh, please email us at fosters@cockerspanielrescue.com. Thankfully, a Good Samaritan witnessed what happened and stepped in to save him before the person responsible could be identified. Today, Comet is FIERCELY LOVED and on the path to healing. Estimated to be around 13 years old, Comet is a gentle, affectionate senior who truly loves everyone he meets. He’s been groomed and is feeling much more comfortable as he recovers. Comet is currently being treated for a bacterial infection and has started medication. The good news continues — his bloodwork looks great, and the vet is not concerned about his bumps. Comet will be getting a dental and neuter on 1/9/2026. Despite everything he’s been through, Comet’s spirit shines. He is incredibly sweet, calm, and loving, and he would make a wonderful companion for someone looking to give a deserving senior the safe, cozy home he’s always deserved.
