Story
At just 1 year old, Emerald is the perfect blend of playful puppy energy and affectionate companionship. This lovable girl came to us from a busy shelter in Louisiana, where the stressful environment took a toll on her—her fur even began to fall out, leaving her with the patchy coat she sports today. But don’t let that worry you: in our calmer setting, Emerald has absolutely blossomed, and her beautiful tricolor coat is already growing back in nicely. Emerald’s kind eyes and cheerful personality make her impossible not to adore. She’s still very much in her puppy phase, which means endless entertainment for anyone watching her play. Her clumsy, goofy antics only make her more charming! Whether it’s a game of chase (her favorite), wrestling with a canine friend, or sharing a toy, Emerald is always up for fun. She loves toys and bones and plays with enthusiasm—never pushy or dominant—making her an excellent playmate for dogs of all kinds. When she’s not busy romping around, Emerald is all about love. She is incredibly affectionate and can’t get enough snuggles. She’ll happily climb into your lap, give you kisses, and soak up all the attention she can get. After a good play session, this silly girl will plop down and fall asleep just about anywhere. Emerald is fully potty-trained and crate-trained, and she does wonderfully with other dogs, cats, and kids. She’s truly an all-around sweetheart. If you’re looking for a fun-spirited, goofy, and deeply loving companion who’s ready for a fresh start, Emerald might just be your perfect match. She hasn’t had the easiest beginning, but she’s more than ready to give all her love to a family of her own.
