Meet Duke! This 2 year old Collie boy is such a sweet guy! He is 100% affection! He loves to give hugs, or lay across you on the couch. He has not had a single accident in the house, and is vocal to tell you he needs to go outside to potty. He is exceptionally smart and eager to please. Duke lives cohesively with the dogs in his foster home for the most part. He does resource guard water and food with the other dogs (has not done any guarding with humans), so he should be fed separately, with a water bowl in his kennel, if there are multiple dogs in the home. As long as resources are not involved, he does very well with the other dogs (ranging in size from 9-90 pounds) and the cat, in his foster home. Thank you to Aleana at Mutt Hutt for getting this guy groomed and ready for adoption! This animal was one of the pups involved in a hoarding/puppy mill/neglect case where more than 60 animals were removed from a local residence. As with any animal we adopt out, we ask that you treat your new fur baby with love, patience and kindness. What they have experienced in their short lives is not fair. They deserve a happily ever after to their previously sad story. If you are interested in adopting this pup, please fill out an application, using the link below. Scarlet is 8 years old. She lost her partner two years ago and is very lonely. I have little dogs inside that are allergenic. My husband and I are both have dog allergies so she can't be in the house. She has been fine outside, but she was my son's dog and he can't have her at his place. I think she needs a family who will love on her and be able to have her inside during the winter months. She is very friendly and gentle, but she doesn't get played with as much as she would like to.

Can a Collie get a break here?? Yes, we think I am a collie mix and what a handsome boy I am!! I did not look this handsome when I arrived at the rescue, but a DEDICATED foster took me in and nursed me back to health and (even though it will be hard for her), I am READY for my FUREVER HOME!!! I came from a plea at a local animal control facility- I had been attacked by three other dogs at the facility who broke into my kennel and mauled me pretty bad :( My foster mom saw the post and agreed to help, and HELP she DID!!! Even though not a medical foster, she learned ALL the things she had to do to help my body and my soul heal. My back end/sides were torn OPEN on each side, numerous bite marks and punctures and infection when she got me. I spent quite a bit of time at the rescue vet for debridement and treatment of the very serious infections and then she took me home and changed my dressings daily and then weekly and then no more dressings!! I am a very very sweet and cuddly boy. House/crate trained, great with other dogs and everyone I meet (except kitties- not a fan). I am a medium sized boy and I am ready for you!!! My ideal family will love and appreciate my survivor personality, my cuddly and happy temperament and will keep me safe from harm for as long as they are blessed to have me :) Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area, $50 temporary fuel fee will be included)
