Story
Maeve is a young, energetic, and incredibly social dog who absolutely loves people. She’s around 2 years old and has never met a stranger — she happily greets everyone she meets and would thrive in a home where she gets lots of attention, activity, and companionship. She’s playful, affectionate, talkative, and full of personality. She does well around other animals and has even been gentle with foster kittens. She would likely do best with an active person or family who enjoys walks, playtime, outdoor activities, or simply having a dog that wants to be involved in everything you’re doing. This decision has been extremely difficult, but due to unexpected health and life circumstances, I’m trying to make the most responsible choice for her long-term happiness and stability. I’m looking for a home that will give her the time, consistency, love, and exercise she deserves. Adjectives that describe Maeve: affectionate, outgoing, playful, smart, energetic, goofy, social, loyal, and loving.

Story
Meet Henry… but my friends call me Jim   I’m a 1½-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix with adorably awkwardly long legs and a heart full of love.   I can be a little nervous with new things at first, but I adjust quickly once I know I’m safe. Give me a little patience and you’ll see my sweet, playful personality shine. I’m still young, so I’ve got that fun, happy energy — and yes, sometimes my long legs have a mind of their own!   A few things about me:   Slightly shy at first, but warm up quickly Not a big fan of car rides Love other dogs and would do best with a furry sibling Great with kids of all ages Loyal, affectionate, and ready to be someone’s best friend     If you’re looking for a sweet, goofy boy with long legs and lots of love to give, I might be your perfect match   Could your home be my forever one? Story
Lizzy has been holding onto hope for 106 days that her family will finally discover her! She has been living the good life in foster care at Woof's Play & Stay right here in Topeka, making friends and showing off her fabulous personality. She is a fun, vibrant girl who is absolutely bursting with life! The Life of the Party: Lizzy loves to play! She is a fan of the "rough and rowdy" play style and isn't afraid to get silly. She even makes hilarious snorty, vocal noises when she's having a blast-she just has a lot to say about how much fun she's having!A Loyal Bestie: She is currently best friends with another long-term resident, Candy Corn, proving she has a big heart for the right match. The Ultimate Co-Pilot: Whether you want her to be your one-and-only spoiled princess or pair her with a balanced pup who matches her enthusiastic energy, Lizzy is ready to bring the fuBecause Lizzy has some magnificent herding instincts and a natural drive to chase, she needs a home without cats, chickens, or rabbits. She wants to make sure all your attention is on her (or her canine match) rather than managing her inner farm-dog talents! She would also do well in a home without small children to herd. If you're looking for a dog with a big personality, a love for play, and a heart full of loyalty, Lizzy is so ready to pack her bags and head home with you! Thank you, CBD American Shaman, for sponsoring a portion of Lizzy's adoption fee! She has another sponsor buddy who sponsored the rest of her fee and she is $0 to adopt! Primary Color: Black Brindle Secondary Color: White Weight: 48.38 Age: 3yrs 7mths 1wks

Husky Australian Kelpie

Topeka, KS

Good with dogs, Good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Name:  Illyana Rasputina   Current Alias:  Magik   Aliases:  The Darkcanine/Darkcanyne The Lightcanine/Lightcanyne Barkimage Illy Yanna   Mutant Abilities:  Stepping discs granting inter-dimensional teleportation between the backyard and the couch Sorcery powers activated by her howling Eldrich armor (her super fluffy fur) Soulsword, the stick she found in the backyard   Origin: Illyana is a 1 year old husky-mix that was forged in the mystical realm of Limbo (actually Oklahoma) as a stray and was transported to Saving Death Row Dogs. Like her namesake, she is a powerful pup with a strong personality. Illyana is independent, smart, and just a little mischievous. Behind the puppy chaos lies a devoted companion who just wants your love. She does well with other dogs and has been around cats without issue. She has only been around older kids, so we are unsure how she would be with younger children. She still has a few accidents, which is expected coming in as a stray, but she is almost potty trained. She does take a moment to warm up and can get nervous in small/enclosed spaces, but she does fine on car rides and enjoys being a lap dog. If you are interested in Illyana, please put in an application at https://savingdeathrowdogs.rescuegroups.org/info/adoption and set up a time to meet her!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 13, 2026, 5:49 pm
