Meet Charlie, a 4-year-old happy-hearted boy with a playful spirit and a gentle soul. He’s potty trained, although in new environments he may occasionally try to mark furniture and will benefit from continued consistency and positive reinforcement. Charlie can be a little nervous when meeting new people or encountering unfamiliar situations, but once he feels safe, his affectionate and loyal personality shines through. He enjoys being close to his people and does best with patience and reassurance as he builds confidence. He has a healthy appetite and loves chewing on dog toys — and he reliably leaves furniture alone. Charlie enjoys going for walks and getting his exercise, but he also knows how to settle down and relax for a quiet, cozy evening. Because Charlie has a strong instinct to chase cats, he would do best in a cat-free home. Charlie is a wonderful dog who will thrive in a calm, understanding home that’s ready to help him continue growing into the confident companion he’s meant to be.

Potato is in his teenage phase, which means he’s a wonderful mix of shy, silly, energetic, and unbelievably endearing. He’s still figuring out this big world, and right now he’s a little unsure of new places and new expectations. Because of that, he needs some help building confidence—especially with leash walking. He’d much rather stay close to his safe space unless he has a patient human to cheer him on. But once Potato does take that brave step outside? He blossoms into the happiest, bounciest, zoomiest boy you’ve ever seen. This kid LOVES to run. The play yard is his personal racetrack, and he’s always ready for a lively game of “catch me if you can” (he thinks it’s hilarious). He has no idea he’s a big boy—he moves through life with the enthusiasm of a tiny puppy and occasionally forgets where his limbs are, so a home that can appreciate joyful chaos is exactly his vibe. Despite his teenage goofiness, Potato is genuinely one of the sweetest dogs in our care. He has zero meanness in him—just confusion, curiosity, and a huge desire to be loved. He’ll flop onto his back the second you give him attention, offering his belly for rubs and melting into your hands. If he could physically fit in your lap, trust us… he absolutely would. Potato is very smart, eager to learn, and just needs someone who sees the incredible dog he’s destined to become. With time, structure, and lots of love, this big-hearted boy will grow into the most loyal, beautiful companion. If you’re ready to help a shy, goofy, lovable teen grow into his best self, Potato might be your perfect match.
