Story
Junie B. is a precious 4 month old puppy (potentially collie + lab) who’s looking for a fun loving family to join. Since coming to her foster home she’s experienced working on a farm, living with 3 other small and large resident dogs, a cat, and horses! She’s extremely smart and knows how to sit and wait until released. She’s a medium energy puppy and will need exercise and playtime to stay fulfilled. She’s crate trained and sleeps in it every night all on her own. Her perfect home would have another dog or kiddos to play with, a bin of toys to squeak, and a lap to sit on. She is fully vetted. Vetting includes spay/neuter, microchip, rabies and all dog vaccinations.  Her local adoption fee is $300 for adoptions within the Memphis, TN tristate area.   Junie B’s out of state/not local to Memphis, TN tristate area adoption fee is $600 and includes the transport to states like PA, CT, NJ, MD, & VA. We use a licensed and registered USDA transport company that will bring Junie B up north to her new family.  You can apply to adopt her today!     If you have any questions, please email us at: newbeginnings_animalrescue@yahoo.com   You can apply to adopt Junie B. here: www.newbeginningsanimalrescue.net   THANK YOU FOR CONSIDERING ADOPTING A RESCUED PET! Story
Curly Joe is full of energy and so happy! He could use practice on the leash, but only because he is so excited to be out walking that he gets carried away and forgets to wait on the person walking him. May 19, 2026, 10:01 am

Story
Meet Leia – A Gentle Soul Ready for a Soft Place to Land Leia (affectionately called Lay Lay or Lei Lei) is a 1.5-year-old Collie/Lab mix, weighing around 40 lbs. She spent the first part of her life as a stray with her sister Gumbo, then endured 7 long months in a shelter, where fear kept her pressed against the back of the kennel, hoping to disappear. Now in foster care, Leia is learning that the world can be kind. She’s a very sweet, gentle girl who’s just shy and unsure around new people. She may keep her distance at first or bark from across the room, but she’s never aggressive—just scared. With time and patience, her silly, playful side begins to shine, and it’s such a joy to witness. Leia’s ideal home will be calm and understanding, with someone who knows that building trust takes time. Once she feels safe, she loves being part of the action—especially if that action involves going for walks, which are truly the highlight of her day. She’s the first to the door and loves being out front, sniffing, exploring, and trying to chase critters along the way. She’s also: - Crate trained and goes in willingly - House trained, especially with a doggy door - Gentle taking treats, though she may prefer you place them on the floor - Not destructive, though she might sneak a sock or shoe on occasion - Great with other dogs, especially playful ones - Good with cats in a home setting - No resource guarding issues Leia doesn't need much—she's not into toys, but she loves flipping dirt in the yard, chasing the hose, and napping on a dog bed by the window. Her joy is quiet, simple, and genuine. Her perfect match? Anyone with a calm home and a gentle heart, who is willing to give her the time she needs to settle in, and who will take her on walks where she can truly come alive. Leia’s past may have been hard, but her future is wide open. She’s looking for someone who sees the beauty in the shy ones and is ready to show her what a loving forever home feels like. If interested in meeting Leia, please submit an application here: https://fjcasp.wufoo.com/forms/adoption-application/
