Story
Olivia is about 11 yrs old. She came to my home in Texas . I believe she was abandoned or ran away from a bad situation. I have had her 10 yrs. When she first came to my home she had oil on her fur the groomer I took her to said there was evidence of pellet shots and rose thorns on her. She needs to be the only dog in the house. She doesn’t need to be around children, though she’s never bitten she has nipped. She’s a very good girl, otherwise. A vet visit last year revealed an old pelvis fracture but she seems to get around fine. It takes her a while to warm up to men, just be gentle and consistent. She does have a jealous streak and can be protective of her food from other pets. She doesn’t get a long with our other dog. She has a nail defect on her right back paw and needs muzzle and calming medicine for nail care. I love her very much much and she needs a loving home.

Story
Fall is officially here and it’s time to think about staying warm this winter. Royal would like to help. He’s around 3 years old and thought to be a Shepherd/Collie mix. He’s a professional lap sitter and bed warmer. Yes, he loves to snuggle. Royal is a very affectionate boy who loves his humans. He’s great with other dogs, and we think he would do best in a home with another active canine companion! He is currently in a foster home with dogs his own size, and one small senior dog. He gets along well with all of them. One of his favorite activities is chasing his foster brothers around the fenced yard. He also loves car rides, walks, and has enough energy to keep up with someone who runs. Royal is not a good fit for cats as he would like to chase them, and has shown a high prey drive when encountering rabbits and birds. Dogs only please, but they can be male or female, big or small, he loves them all. Royal, also known as Good Boy Roy, lives up to his nickname in every way except with 4 foot fences...he can clear them so we are requiring a 6 foot fence to keep him safe.  Due to his energy level Royal would be a good fit for older children. He is fully  housebroken, leash, and kennel trained. This good boy will walk right into his kennel when asked. He is well behaved free roaming the house and only uses his kennel when the humans are out. He is not kenneled at night and would prefer to share a bed with you. So be prepared for Nebraska weather and adopt this handsome lap and bed warmer by applying at www.HavenAnimalRescueNebraska.org ADOPTION DONATION: $350 *ALL DOGS MUST BE INSIDE COMPANION ANIMALS! They must all be trained with positive reward based training only and no electric fences.  All Haven's pets are all up to date with vaccinations, altered, microchipped, HeartWorm tested, and on preventatives. PLEASE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION AT: https://havenanimalrescuenebraska.org/adoption-application We do not have a facility. All of our animals are in volunteer foster homes. Once an application is pre-approved (contingent upon a home check) we will contact applicants that are a good match and set up a time for a meet. At that time we are happy to answer all of your questions. No inquiries prior to that please. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, examined by a vet, up-to-date on vaccinations, on heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, and microchipped. We adopt our animals as strictly inside companion pets. We will do a veterinarian reference check and a home safety check. We are located in Omaha, NE and we do not ship our animals. We are all volunteers so please be patient with us. Our requested adoption fees help go towards medical expenses, food, transportation, toys, and other supplies for our animals. We are a state licensed, 501c3 nonprofit rescue and the adoption donation may be tax deductible for you.  Thank you for choosing adoption!! March 13, 2026, 6:08 pm

Story
Nash is a 3 year old Border Collie Aussie mix. He is an energetic young neutered male. He loves to snuggle, go on walks, and play fetch. He does not like thunderstorms and gets very anxious. We do have him on prozac to help ease his anxiety. We are unable to keep Nash due to him not getting along with our 8 year old Mini Aussie. We took him in from a friend who found Nash born under a barn just when he was opening his eyes. He is a sweet boy and we are heartbroken we have to make this decision. We are looking to rehome him to someone who can give him what he needs.

Cam is a 6 1/2 year old blue heeler/rottweiler mix. He is a loyal and energetic companion. Cam needs someone who can support him with an active lifestyle. He loves having a job and in an ideal world we believe he’d do best living on a property with lots of room to run. Cam is house trained as well as kennel trained. Cam enjoys lots of attention and companionship and has always done an awesome job at reciprocating love and appreciation.

Story
Rosie is a 3-year-old Cattle Dog who is looking for a patient adopter willing to earn her trust and watch her blossom. Rosie was found abandoned in the country, and while we don't know what her life looked like before rescue, she has made incredible progress in foster care. When she first arrived, the world felt like a scary place. With consistency, patience, and understanding, she has grown leaps and bounds into a loving, sweet companion. Rosie can be nervous in new situations and takes time to feel safe with new people. She isn't the type of dog who will immediately greet strangers with enthusiasm, but once she settles in and trusts you, her affectionate and gentle nature shines through. Because Rosie thrives in a calm, predictable environment, we believe she would do best in an adults-only home. She has also made it clear that she is extremely fearful of men, and we feel her ideal home would be with a woman or women who can provide the security and understanding she needs. Rosie is looking for someone who will meet her where she is, celebrate her progress, and give her the space to continue building confidence at her own pace. In return, you'll gain a loyal companion who has worked hard to learn that people can be kind. If you have a quiet home and a patient heart, Rosie may be the perfect fit. House trained: Yes, if taken out on a schedule/regular basis. At this time she prefers to be walked for potty time as opposed to let out in the backyard Leash trained: YesKennel trained: Yes Rides well in a car: Yes, does get a little nervous Good with other dogs: Yes, calm dogsGood with cats: YesGood with young children (under 10): recommend older children or adults-only due to timid behavior Shy or confident: Shy and timid at first meeting Barks: Yes at strangers, loud noises, and unfamiliar dogs. Apartment qualified: No due to breedHealth concerns or special needs: No Rosie is an Austrailian Cattle Dog (mix?) and is about 3-4 years old. She is fostered in a private home in Lincoln. The adoption fee is $300 which helps cover the cost of vetting procedures. Adoptable pets will have received age-appropriate vaccines and dewormings, a microchip, heartworm test (if applicable) and a spay/neuter. If you’re interested in adopting this puppy/dog, please submit an inquiry or email BraveAnimalRescue@gmail.com to ask about our adoption process (please check your spam or junk email if you do not hear back from us within a few business days). We are 100% volunteer staffed and will respond to your email as soon as possible. After you have submitted an and been approved, we will set up a meet and greet between you and the puppy/dog.
