Story
Say hello to Rank! He is a high-energy, happy-go-lucky pup with a heart full of love and a tail that never stops wagging! Rank is full of enthusiasm for life and is currently channeling all that energy into learning good manners and he's making great progress. This sweet boy absolutely loves other dogs and would thrive in a home with a canine buddy to romp around with. He’s still working on potty training and learning the ropes of polite behavior, but he’s eager to please, smart, and picking things up quickly with consistent guidance. Rank is the kind of pup who’ll keep you laughing, moving, and feeling loved. With a bit of structure and a lot of playtime, he’s going to grow into an amazing companion. If you're ready for a little whirlwind of fun and affection, Rank might just be your perfect match. The adoption fee is 350 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.** Part of Rank's adoption fee has been sponsored by someone who loves him! His adoption fee is now $250. We're open from 12-4 PM every day EXCEPT Wednesday! Did you know you don't need to have an appointment to visit our available cats and dogs***? Simply drop by and if you find a potential new furry friend, you can fill out an application on the day you visit. Go to townandcountryanimalrescue.org to fill out our digital application. Applications are typically processed in 3-5 business days. Once you're approved, you can return on the date and time set up by your adoption counselor, with your family for a meet and greet. If it goes well, you can take your new best friend home on the meet and greet day! If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.   ***Please note that animals in foster homes cannot be viewed at our rescue, and appointments are still required to meet them. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook to learn more about Town and Country Animal Rescue and our mission. ##2381821##

Story
Gail is a smart and eager to please beagle mix who is blossoming into a truly wonderful dog. Gail was severely under socialized during her first months of life and had no understanding of how to exist with people. While in rescue she has learned all about how to be a part of a home, and now her foster mom is helping her to learn how to exist stress free outside of the house so that she can enjoy going on adventures with her future forever family. She is potty trained (with the rare exception of excited peeing), kennel trained and walks well on a leash when hiking on local trails.  Her ideal forever family will be an adult only home that has at least one other dog that likes to play. She is open to kids in her family’s future but would like to get to know her parents first. She is looking for a home with a fully fenced yard. Gail is not great at first introductions so we would like to find an adopter who is open to meeting her a couple of times before diving into forever with Gail. We promise she is worth the time investment.  Gail is spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated.  Gail is a year old and 35lbs.   To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $200 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs.  We do not ship dogs.   All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.December 14, 2024, 4:02 pm

Story
Adopted Jan 2025. Was approx 5 months at that time. He is crate trained. Current vaccinations and heart wormed monthly with Simpatico. Must rehome due to two other small nervous dogs don’t tolerate his playfulness and herding. One of the smaller dogs has heart failure and special needs and is very sensitive to Ruger’s aggressive playfulness and size difference. Will send nice crate with him. He knows multiple commands and is very friendly. Loves to play ball. He does have a herding tendency which could be encouraged. I have to let him outside to potty separately from the smaller dogs as he likes to keep them on the patio. Ruger is a good dog just not a good fit for us with the two smaller dogs, one is highly anxious and the other having health problems. Free to good home.
