Story
Winston - Deaf Dogs Hear with Their Hearts Hello world I'm Winston....please don't mind me as I practice my sign language! You see, I'm hearing impaired, but I am super smart so I use hand signs to communicate! I have been waiting a while for my perfect home, but I will be a great companion once I find the right match. I will need SEVERAL MEETS before adoption, as I am people selective and it takes me a bit to get to know and trust someone. I'm a two year old who is a happy, handsome fella with gorgeous baby blues and would love to be someone's one and only. Once I trust them, I'd love for them to take me on walks/runs, play fetch, toss me toys, snuggle with me and teach me new commands! I do have a few requirements, though: I NEED A FENCED IN YARD, AN EXPERIENCED OWNER AND MUST BE AN ONLY DOG. So, if you have enough time, patience, dogs skills and can go slow with me, I will learn to trust you and be your loyal forever boy. No apartments please! Also, small children make me really nervous as I can't hear them so teenagers and adults only. I also prefer a house that won't be active with too many strangers coming and going but am crate trained, if needed. I currently living with a trainer and she loves me so much that she will provide continued training help for my whole life! I haven't had many good experiences in my life yet, so I'd love to be your loyal best new friend, if you have time to devote to me! Want to meet me and see how amazing we can be together? Please apply at www.nalarescue.org to adopt or for more information. All shots, boosters, rabies, spay/neuter, and microchip is included in NALA Rescue's Adoption donation fee. All meets are scheduled by appointment only once an application is approved. Please apply at www.nalarescue.org and if approved we will reach out to the applicant and answer all questions. All dogs/puppies are available until they are removed from this site so please no inquires if a dog is available.

These pups are in Lincoln, Nebraska too!

Maverick is super sweet and loves playing soccer with our boys out back. I have toys, food, etc. that can go with him. He is a pure bred Australian Shepard Blue Merle. We would love to find someone with an acreage that he can run until his hearts content. With our new schedules we cannot give him the exercise he deserves. He knows basic commands and is super smart. He learns really fast.

Cam is a 6 1/2 year old blue heeler/rottweiler mix. He is a loyal and energetic companion. Cam needs someone who can support him with an active lifestyle. He loves having a job and in an ideal world we believe he’d do best living on a property with lots of room to run. Cam is house trained as well as kennel trained. Cam enjoys lots of attention and companionship and has always done an awesome job at reciprocating love and appreciation.

Story
Rosie is a 3-year-old Cattle Dog looking for a very special home where she can continue building confidence at her own pace. Rosie was found abandoned in the country, and we don't know what her life looked like before rescue. When she first arrived in foster care, the world felt like a scary place. With patience, consistency, and understanding, she has made incredible progress. Rosie is now on anxiety medication, which has made a meaningful difference for her. It has allowed her to relax, let her guard down, and show us the sweet, loving dog underneath all that worry. She can still be nervous in new situations and needs time to feel comfortable with unfamiliar people, but once she trusts you, she is affectionate and gentle. Rosie is extremely fearful of men, so we are specifically looking for a female adopter or female-only household. We also feel she would do best in an adults-only home that is calm, predictable, and willing to give her the time and space she needs. Rosie isn't going to be the dog who immediately runs up to greet you. She's the dog who will slowly learn that she is safe and that she doesn't always have to be on guard. Her progress has been hard-earned, and we're looking for someone who will appreciate that, never rush her, and celebrate her little victories. Rosie has already come so far, and with the right person, we know she has so much more to give. House trained: Yes, if taken out on a schedule/regular basis. At this time she prefers to be walked for potty time as opposed to let out in the backyard Leash trained: YesKennel trained: Yes Rides well in a car: Yes, does get a little nervous Good with other dogs: Yes, calm dogsGood with cats: YesGood with young children (under 10): recommend older children or adults-only due to timid behavior Shy or confident: Shy and timid at first meeting Barks: Yes at strangers, loud noises, and unfamiliar dogs. Apartment qualified: No due to breedHealth concerns or special needs: Anxiety Medication  Rosie is an Austrailian Cattle Dog (mix?) and is about 3-4 years old. She is fostered in a private home in Lincoln. The adoption fee is $300 which helps cover the cost of vetting procedures. Adoptable pets will have received age-appropriate vaccines and dewormings, a microchip, heartworm test (if applicable) and a spay/neuter. If you’re interested in adopting this puppy/dog, please submit an inquiry or email BraveAnimalRescue@gmail.com to ask about our adoption process (please check your spam or junk email if you do not hear back from us within a few business days). We are 100% volunteer staffed and will respond to your email as soon as possible. After you have submitted an and been approved, we will set up a meet and greet between you and the puppy/dog.
