Story
Meet Rank! Rank is a friendly and affectionate pup with a big smile and an even bigger heart. He loves people, enjoys other dogs with proper introductions, and has a happy playful energy balanced by a mellow nature for his breed. Rank is potty trained, kennel trained, enjoys going for walks and does well on a leash. He would thrive in a home where he is the sole pup or a pup that gets along well with him through introductions and can enjoy one-on-one companionship.   He does best when he can use his energy so we believe he would need a 6 foot fence to allow him room to run. If you’re looking for a loving, devoted companion who’s happiest by your side, Rank might be the perfect match.  The adoption fee is 350 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.** Part of Rank's adoption fee has been sponsored by someone who loves him! His adoption fee is now $250. We're open from 12-4 PM Tuesday - Saturday! Did you know you don't need to have an appointment to visit our available cats and dogs***? Simply drop by and if you find a potential new furry friend, you can fill out an application on the day you visit. Go to townandcountryanimalrescue.org to fill out our digital application. Applications are typically processed in 3-5 business days. Once you're approved, you can return on the date and time set up by your adoption counselor, with your family for a meet and greet. If it goes well, you can take your new best friend home on the meet and greet day! If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.   ***Please note that animals in foster homes cannot be viewed at our rescue, and appointments are still required to meet them. Story
Gail is a smart and eager to please beagle mix who is blossoming into a truly wonderful dog. Gail was severely under socialized during her first months of life and had no understanding of how to exist with people. While in rescue she has learned all about how to be a part of a home, and now her foster mom is helping her to learn how to exist stress free outside of the house so that she can enjoy going on adventures with her future forever family. She is potty trained (with the rare exception of excited peeing), kennel trained and walks well on a leash when hiking on local trails.  Her ideal forever family will be an adult only home that has at least one other dog that likes to play. She is open to kids in her family’s future but would like to get to know her parents first. She is looking for a home with a fully fenced yard. Gail is not great at first introductions so we would like to find an adopter who is open to meeting her a couple of times before diving into forever with Gail. We promise she is worth the time investment.  Gail is spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated.  Gail is a year old and 35lbs.   To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $200 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs.  We do not ship dogs.   All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.March 8, 2026, 6:28 pm

Story
Foxy is a total sweetheart with wonderful puppy energy — playful and curious without being overly obnoxious — and her personality is just starting to shine through. She hasn’t met a ton of new people yet and can be a bit shy at first, but she’s beginning to warm up and come to her foster more each day. She does great with other dogs, hasn’t met kids or cats yet, and would love a fenced yard since she’s an enthusiastic little explorer. Potty and kennel training are still a work in progress, but she does great with frequent breaks on weekends and is okay in the kennel as long as she can see her person nearby. Three must-knows about Foxy She’s a gentle, cautious girl whose confidence is still growing She’s dog-friendly and would thrive with patient introductions to new things She’ll do best in a home ready to help her continue learning potty and crate routines. Foxy is a female Australian Cattle Dog/mix pup who was was born approximately 12-1-25. She is spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, given flea/tick preventative, dewormed and started on heartworm prevention. Adoption fee is $600 to help offset the many expenses we have for vetting costs. We rely strictly on adoption fees and donations to continue to save the lives of orphaned & abandoned pets; 100% goes towards their care. ***If you are serious about adopting, you must first complete and submit an application on our website. Our Adoption Team will respond via email from DollysLegacyAdoptions@gmail.com once you have completed an application. If a pet is still listed, it is not yet adopted as we update daily. Story
Turbo is a few years old Mini Australian Shepherd who is just beginning to learn what life outside of a breeder environment looks like. He startles easily and is still figuring out that the world, mostly humans, can be safe. Turbo is most comfortable in his kennel and is primarily kennel trained at this point, though he does bark from time to time and does have the occasional accident. He is housebroken for short periods but will need a patient home that understands accidents are part of the learning process and that consistency will be key to his success. Turbo is very fearful of people right now and is not the type of dog who will run up for attention from strangers. He also does poorly on a leash and is not able to walk on one at this time, so a secure setup (fenced in backyard required) and a commitment to slow, positive leash training will be important. While people are scary to him, he finds comfort in animals. He does well with cats and THRIVES around well balanced, confident dogs who can help show him the ropes and build his confidence. With time and consistency, Turbo has shown that he can form deep bonds, he has grown to love his foster mom and will climb into her lap for attention during quiet snuggle time in the house. Turbo is a sensitive, fearful dog who needs patience, structure, and kindness, but in the right home, he has the potential to continue building trust and confidence and become a deeply devoted companion. If you think you have the time and patience for a sweet pup like turbo, apply to adopt him at the link below. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdy9NUdRzsagXgNJ7xhCHp5LZnTUYFxN-2jh4HgXKTou9k-tA/viewform
