Story
Meet Rank! Rank is a friendly and affectionate pup with a big smile and an even bigger heart. He loves people, enjoys other dogs with proper introductions, and has a happy playful energy balanced by a mellow nature for his breed. Rank is kennel trained, enjoys going for walks and does well on a leash. He would thrive in a home where he is the sole pup and can enjoy one-on-one companionship.  If you’re looking for a loving, devoted companion who’s happiest by your side, Rank might be the perfect match.  The adoption fee is 350 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.** Part of Rank's adoption fee has been sponsored by someone who loves him! His adoption fee is now $250. We're open from 12-4 PM Tuesday - Saturday! Did you know you don't need to have an appointment to visit our available cats and dogs***? Simply drop by and if you find a potential new furry friend, you can fill out an application on the day you visit. Go to townandcountryanimalrescue.org to fill out our digital application. Applications are typically processed in 3-5 business days. Once you're approved, you can return on the date and time set up by your adoption counselor, with your family for a meet and greet. If it goes well, you can take your new best friend home on the meet and greet day! If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.   ***Please note that animals in foster homes cannot be viewed at our rescue, and appointments are still required to meet them. Please be sure to follow us on Facebook to learn more about Town and Country Animal Rescue and our mission. ##2381821##

Story
Gail is a smart and eager to please beagle mix who is blossoming into a truly wonderful dog. Gail was severely under socialized during her first months of life and had no understanding of how to exist with people. While in rescue she has learned all about how to be a part of a home, and now her foster mom is helping her to learn how to exist stress free outside of the house so that she can enjoy going on adventures with her future forever family. She is potty trained (with the rare exception of excited peeing), kennel trained and walks well on a leash when hiking on local trails.  Her ideal forever family will be an adult only home that has at least one other dog that likes to play. She is open to kids in her family’s future but would like to get to know her parents first. She is looking for a home with a fully fenced yard. Gail is not great at first introductions so we would like to find an adopter who is open to meeting her a couple of times before diving into forever with Gail. We promise she is worth the time investment.  Gail is spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated.  Gail is a year old and 35lbs.   To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $200 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs.  We do not ship dogs.   All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.December 14, 2024, 4:02 pm

Dak is very picky with his people but when he picks his person he doesn’t leave your side. I love him lots but he is at that age where he needs more attention than my schedule allows. He loves to cuddle and play. Fetch being his favorite but he gets a lot of his energy out with chewing and sniffing he absolutely adores the treat puzzles.

Story
Mini Australian shepherd. Was originally adopted from the Humane Society in 2022. Sweet dog but very anxious to the point he gets destructive. His main issue is confinement/restraints. Does not do well in a kennel; he will bite/chew on bars due to his anxiety. He does well at dog parks. Sometimes will bark but seems to get along okay with other dogs there. Very loyal and likes to cuddle occasionally, but mostly likes to spend time by himself at home. Tends to get very anxious whenever you leave the house.

Story
I inherited Remi as my grandparents' old farm dog less than a year ago. He is nine years old and has been taken in to get his shots, but has not been microchipped. My landord nor my roommates were a fan of bringing in a grumpy old man dog. I am hoping to find Remi a loving home that will be able to give him the love and attention that he deserves because he is such a sweet and caring dog. He will take naps with you, but also be active and go on walks, and play. He is very protective and loves people watching out the window.
