Story
Meet Rank! Rank is a friendly, affectionate pup with a big smile and an even bigger heart. He loves being around people and has a warm, fun-loving personality that makes him a joy to be with. While he enjoys playtime and has a fun, happy energy, he also has a nicely balanced, mellow side for his breed. Rank does well with other dogs when introduced properly and would thrive either as your one-and-only or with a compatible canine companion. He’s potty trained, kennel trained, and walks nicely on a leash—making him an excellent walking buddy for daily adventures! He’ll do best in a home where he can stretch his legs and burn off some energy, so a secure yard (ideally with a 6-foot fence) would be perfect for his zoomies and outdoor playtime. Above all, Rank is a loyal, loving companion who’s happiest right by your side. If you’re looking for a devoted best friend with the perfect mix of playful and calm, Rank could be your perfect match!     The adoption fee is 350 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.** Part of Rank's adoption fee has been sponsored by someone who loves him! His adoption fee is now $250.** We're open from 12-4 PM Tuesday - Saturday! Did you know you don't need to have an appointment to visit our available cats and dogs***? Simply drop by and if you find a potential new furry friend, you can fill out an application on the day you visit. Go to townandcountryanimalrescue.org to fill out our digital application. Applications are typically processed in 3-5 business days. Once you're approved, you can return on the date and time set up by your adoption counselor, with your family for a meet and greet. If it goes well, you can take your new best friend home on the meet and greet day! If you have other dogs in your home, they must all meet the potential adoptee.   ***Please note that animals in foster homes cannot be viewed at our rescue, and appointments are still required to meet them. Story
Gail is a smart and eager to please beagle mix who is blossoming into a truly wonderful dog. Gail was severely under socialized during her first months of life and had no understanding of how to exist with people. While in rescue she has learned all about how to be a part of a home, and now her foster mom is helping her to learn how to exist stress free outside of the house so that she can enjoy going on adventures with her future forever family. She is potty trained (with the rare exception of excited peeing), kennel trained and walks well on a leash when hiking on local trails.  Her ideal forever family will be an adult only home that has at least one other dog that likes to play. She is open to kids in her family’s future but would like to get to know her parents first. She is looking for a home with a fully fenced yard. Gail is not great at first introductions so we would like to find an adopter who is open to meeting her a couple of times before diving into forever with Gail. We promise she is worth the time investment.  Gail is spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated.  Gail is a year old and 35lbs.   To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $200 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs.  We do not ship dogs.   All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.March 8, 2026, 6:28 pm

Story
Turbo is a few years old Mini Australian Shepherd who is just beginning to learn what life outside of a breeder environment looks like. He startles easily and is still figuring out that the world, mostly humans, can be safe. Turbo is most comfortable in his kennel and is primarily kennel trained at this point, though he does bark from time to time and does have the occasional accident. He is housebroken for short periods but will need a patient home that understands accidents are part of the learning process and that consistency will be key to his success. Turbo is very fearful of people right now and is not the type of dog who will run up for attention from strangers. He also does poorly on a leash and is not able to walk on one at this time, so a secure setup (fenced in backyard required) and a commitment to slow, positive leash training will be important. While people are scary to him, he finds comfort in animals. He does well with cats and THRIVES around well balanced, confident dogs who can help show him the ropes and build his confidence. With time and consistency, Turbo has shown that he can form deep bonds, he has grown to love his foster mom and will climb into her lap for attention during quiet snuggle time in the house. Turbo is a sensitive, fearful dog who needs patience, structure, and kindness, but in the right home, he has the potential to continue building trust and confidence and become a deeply devoted companion. If you think you have the time and patience for a sweet pup like turbo, apply to adopt him at the link below. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSdy9NUdRzsagXgNJ7xhCHp5LZnTUYFxN-2jh4HgXKTou9k-tA/viewform

Story
This sweet, soulful boy is ready for his next chapter… and we just know his perfect person is out there. Meet Jasper — a 5-year-old Australian Shepherd mix (maybe a little Border Collie, too 😉), and let’s just say… this boy is the full package. ✨ Here’s what we know about this handsome guy: • Neutered + up to date on vaccines • House trained (not a single accident 👏) • Uses a doggie door or politely waits to go out • Knows basic commands + minds well (with a few reminders 😉) • Walks well on a leash/harness • Crazy smart (like… watches TV and barks at animals smart 📺🐾😂) • Sleeps at the foot of the bed — your built-in best friend 💛 Personality: Jasper is affectionate, happy, and SO loyal. He loves his people deeply and just wants to be near you. The kind of dog who becomes your shadow… your comfort… your heart. ⚠️ What he needs: Jasper has had a tough experience with men in the past, but with patience and proper introductions, he is already making amazing progress. Because of this, his future home will need to: • Understand working breed energy & intelligence • Be patient with introductions (especially with men) • Provide structure, love, and consistency This boy is not broken — he just needs someone willing to meet him where he is and show him the world is a safe place again. And when you do? You’ll get a once-in-a-lifetime kind of dog. 🖤 The kind who watches TV with you 🖤 The kind who sleeps at your feet 🖤 The kind who will love you harder than anything 👉 If you think you could be Jasper’s person (or want to learn more), message us. 👉 Not the right fit? Please share — his person might be on your friends list. Because every dog deserves someone who sees their potential… not just their past. 🐾
