Story
Winston - Deaf Dogs Hear with Their Hearts Hello world I'm Winston....please don't mind me as I practice my sign language! You see, I'm hearing impaired, but I am super smart so I use hand signs to communicate! I have been waiting a while for my perfect home, but I will be a great companion once I find the right match. I will need SEVERAL MEETS before adoption, as I am people selective and it takes me a bit to get to know and trust someone. I'm a two year old who is a happy, handsome fella with gorgeous baby blues and would love to be someone's one and only. Once I trust them, I'd love for them to take me on walks/runs, play fetch, toss me toys, snuggle with me and teach me new commands! I do have a few requirements, though: I NEED A FENCED IN YARD, AN EXPERIENCED OWNER AND MUST BE AN ONLY DOG. So, if you have enough time, patience, dogs skills and can go slow with me, I will learn to trust you and be your loyal forever boy. No apartments please! Also, small children make me really nervous as I can't hear them so teenagers and adults only. I also prefer a house that won't be active with too many strangers coming and going but am crate trained, if needed. I currently living with a trainer and she loves me so much that she will provide continued training help for my whole life! I haven't had many good experiences in my life yet, so I'd love to be your loyal best new friend, if you have time to devote to me! Want to meet me and see how amazing we can be together? Please apply at www.nalarescue.org to adopt or for more information. All shots, boosters, rabies, spay/neuter, and microchip is included in NALA Rescue's Adoption donation fee. All meets are scheduled by appointment only once an application is approved. Please apply at www.nalarescue.org and if approved we will reach out to the applicant and answer all questions. All dogs/puppies are available until they are removed from this site so please no inquires if a dog is available.

Story
Danni is a 4-year-old Cattle Dog mix with a fun, playful spirit and a love for fetch—she’s convinced she’s training for the major leagues one day! According to her previous foster dad, who was recently deployed, Danni would happily chase a ball all day long if given the chance.   She enjoys long walks, squeaky toys, butt scratches, belly rubs, and cuddling on the couch or bed. Danni knows basic commands such as sit and wait before meals or exiting, and she’s continuing to learn paw, lay, and stay. Her former foster reports that Danni was potty trained and did not have accidents in her kennel while in his care.   Danni can be sensitive to loud noises and may need reassurance in new environments, including car rides. She has shown some past resource-guarding tendencies, so a home without small children is recommended. Danni is not particularly interested in other dogs, but she is able to ignore them when focused on activities she enjoys.  Danni has allergies and does well with one pill per day.    While she may be a little anxious at first, Danni forms deep bonds with people who show her patience, compassion, and consistency. Once she feels comfortable, her affectionate and loyal personality really shines—and she may even treat you to her excited spin dance!   Danni is currently with Town & Country Animal Rescue and is patiently waiting for her forever home. The adoption fee is $350** and covers age appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter. The adoption fee helps cover the cost of these vetting procedures. If you want to meet this pet, or are interested in adopting, please submit an application.  **Part of Danni's adoption fee is sponsored by someone who loves her very much! Her adoption fee is now $100** We're open from 12-4 PM Tuesday - Saturday! Did you know you don't need to have an appointment to visit our available cats and dogs***? Story
Meet Jake, a gentle soul. At 10 years young, Jake is a sweet, soulful heeler mix who proves that age is just a number. This 62-pound gentleman has so much love left to give and he’s ready to share it with a forever family who’ll cherish him. Jake came to us after some pack conflicts in his previous home, but he’s shown amazing growth in his foster care. With slow introductions and respectful dog friends, he’s learned to build new bonds, even becoming best buds with his foster dog siblings!  He’s a total people-lover, gentle, affectionate, and happiest when he’s near his humans. Jake enjoys easy walks, cozy couch time, and even joins his foster family for 2-mile jogs every day (yes, he’s still got plenty of pep in his step!). Jake is the full package: loyal, calm, loving, and still full of life. If you’re searching for a devoted walking partner and snuggle buddy, this handsome cattle dog will melt your heart. The adoption fee is $250 + tax and covers age-appropriate vaccines, a microchip, and a spay/neuter.  We're open from 12-4 PM Tuesday - Saturday! Story
Mini Australian shepherd. Was originally adopted from the Humane Society in 2022. Sweet dog but very anxious to the point he gets destructive. His main issue is confinement/restraints. Does not do well in a kennel; he will bite/chew on bars due to his anxiety. He does well at dog parks. Sometimes will bark but seems to get along okay with other dogs there. Very loyal and likes to cuddle occasionally, but mostly likes to spend time by himself at home. Tends to get very anxious whenever you leave the house.
