Story
Sherman Needs A Valentine Angel &#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143- Foster or Adopt ... Sherman is a 7-8  yr old medium sized mixed breed dog.  He is very playful and affectionate, has a medium energy level, and enjoys leashed walks, romping in the yard, and riding in the car. He has been good with other friendly dogs about his size or larger, but is reactive to dogs he doesn't know and chases cats.  He is house trained.  Sherman needs a firm, but calm, fair, confident and consistent leader willing to invest some time in training him to drop high value items.  He is overly protective of his food and treats.  For this reason, Sherman needs a home with no children.  Sherman also  occasionally has mild seizures that have not required medical intervention to date. If you can give Sherman a place to call home, please fill out our application.          To apply: 1. You must reside within our adoptable states: NY, NJ, CT, RI, MA, VT, NH, PA, DE, MD, VA 2. AND you MUST submit our online application, please CLICK HERE or copy & paste this link: http://www.nyabandonedangels.com/adopt-or-foster-application  June 5, 2023, 9:14 am

Story
Hello, kind-hearted humans! My name is Harlow, and I am a 4-year-old Collie mix eagerly seeking my forever home. With my sweet and gentle nature, I am bound to bring warmth and joy into your life. Just wait until you meet me and experience the love I have to offer! At first glance, you'll be captivated by my beauty. My soft fur showcases a lovely mix of colors that perfectly complement my soulful eyes. But it's not just my external appearance that makes me special; it's the loving heart that beats within me. When we first say hello to each other, you may notice a slight hint of timidity in my demeanor. It's only because I'm a bit shy when I'm unfamiliar with my surroundings. But let me tell you, it won't take long for my loving and trusting nature to shine through. Give me a few minutes and my heart opens up, and my tail wags with delight. From that moment on, I'll be your devoted companion, craving your presence and basking in the love and affection you offer. I have a particular affinity for being near my humans. There's nothing I love more than snuggling up next to you and feeling your gentle touch as you stroke my fur. I thrive on companionship and long to be a cherished member of your family. Another important thing to know about me is that I get along well with other dogs. If you already have a furry friend at home, I'm more than happy to share my love and friendship with them. If you're ready to welcome a beautiful and affectionate soul like me into your heart and home, please apply to adopt me. I can’t wait to meet you! Thank you so much for your interest in adopting a dog from A New Chance Animal Rescue (https://anewchancear.org). We are a 501c3, tax deductible organization. ANCAR is a foster-based rescue, and we adopt within a 90 mile radius of Bedford Hills, NY. You will find the adoption application here: (https://anewchancear.org/adopt/adoption-application/). All fields on the application must be completed. Please read about the adoption process (https://www.anewchancear.org/adopt/our-adoption-process/) so you'll know what to expect when you submit. Our dogs are in foster care and we do NOT have a shelter or boarding facility. AN APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED IN FULL AND APPROVED BEFORE A DOG CAN BE MET. This is a firm policy. Our busy volunteers are not able to respond to questions about the dog or dog meeting requests in the absence of an application. We know these dogs very well because they are in foster care. Please read the profiles of the dog(s) you are interested in prior to submitting an application. If there are specific requirements stated (ie: Fenced Yard or Canine Friend Required) these are included because they are vital to the happiness, health, safety and adoption success of that dog. We are only able to save as many dogs as we have foster homes (https://www.anewchancear.org/foster/faqs/) and resources for. We provide medical care including vaccinations, testing, deworming, spaying/neutering and microchipping before transporting our dogs. We provide all supplies, preventatives and any follow up vet care necessary while they are in foster care. These costs are high and the number of lives we can save is entirely dependent upon donations from people like you. We do not receive funding from private foundations or government sources. If you can find room in your heart to help us, with any amount, we are truly grateful (https://www.anewchancear.org/help/donate/). We are a 501c3 organization, so all donations are tax-deductible. It is only through the kindness of supporters like you that we are 'changing lives...one tail at a time' by providing our dogs with 'A New Chance.' (https://anewchancear.org) Thanks so much.
