Story

Maya’s foster notes Demeanor She is wonderfully sweet with a bit of playful puppy. She listens well in general. She is sweet and just wants to be petted. She is not really mouthy at all. An occasional lick almost never any bites or nips. She plays well with my Large German Shepherd, knowing her boundaries. Crate training While the crate is not her favorite place, she still does amazing. She currently sleeps throughout the night in her crate and has not had an accident in the crate. She goes out to potty around 9:30 PM and then gets up around 7:30 AM. She may whine a bit for about 5 to 10 minutes before she’ll settle down quietly even during the day. Potty training She’s on a pretty regular schedule being let out to potty every three through four hours currently. She has no current inside accidents, but is kept to a small area and is constantly observed went out of her crate. She has not yet alerted to go out on her own. But will potty almost immediately every time she’s taken out as long as you walk on the grass with her. On the first day I got her she had if you submissive peeing accidents. After the first day, she’s relaxed in the home and has not had one since. Training She is extremely food motivated. She’s also generally a really good dog and wants to listen. She will occasionally find a non-toy item and try to play with it but simply told to Drop she’ll let it go. She will sit on command. We’re working lying down. And she’s starting to fetch. We are using the word “free” to be allowed out of her crate. She is doing well with that. She will come running when called.

Story

Step into the celestial glow of a love as steady and bright as the evening star! Meet Venus, a darling Border Collie mix whose heart shines just as brilliantly as her cosmic namesake. An adventurer through and through, this sweet girl greets the world with big, swaying tail wags: she even charmed the floral arrangements by politely sniffing each blossom in their tiered display at her recent Honey Bean Adoption Event! Beneath her starry-eyed wonder lies a remarkably clever little soul: her foster notes beam that she is acing her crate and potty training and is an absolute angel of a sleeper. Moderately active, endlessly curious, and utterly enamored with exploration, Venus is currently perfecting her puppy coordination and mastering the art of leash walking (though she secretly prefers a luxurious ride in her favorite stroller). As a true constellation of boundless joy, Venus plays hard, but she sleeps even harder. Her foster family shares the most heartwarming morning ritual: she comes to gently wake you with a dainty little yawn, repeating it three or four times until she hears you stir. The moment she knows you are awake? Her tail starts wagging so furiously it taps a happy rhythm against her kennel! Always eager to share her sparkling, affectionate personality, Venus loves nothing more than staying close to her people, yet she remains a delightfully resilient, confident, and brave little explorer ready for her next big journey. Bring this radiant little star home, and watch her light up your universe forever.

Millie

Border Collie Australian Shepherd

Female, Puppy

Seguin, TX

Size

(when grown) Small 25 lbs (11 kg) or less

Details

Good with kids, Good with dogs, House-trained, Shots are up-to-date,

Story

Millie was a stray on the streets of Houston. She was buddy with another dog and both dogs came to me for fostering and medical.care. She has fit right in with our other 9 dogs and enjoys rough housing. We are working on her chewing on hands, but being a five month old puppy she is still full of puppy play. She's very easy to train, walks well on a leash. She sits and places. Because of her puppy antics only older kids are suggested. This is a breed that does well with an active lifestyle and wants to be a part of family activities. It's hard to get a good still picture of her.
