But don’t let that act fool you… beneath all that rizz is a complete marshmallow who secretly just wants love, snacks, and someone to tell him he’s a very handsome boy! 🚫 Red’s Official Dislike List:• Your ex.• Empty treat bags.• Birds that refuse to acknowledge his authority.As a herding dog, Red takes his job very seriously. Running? Absolutely allowed… but only if everyone follows the rules. And who makes the rules? Red, of course. They also change daily, depending on his mood. He gets along well with other dogs who are willing to fall in line with his ever-evolving management style. Except Susan. Red REALLY likes Susan & she gets a free pass on the rules. Think of him less as the fun police and more as an enthusiastic middle manager who can’t help himself! But truthfully, Red is an affectionate, goofy boy with a soft heart. Once he’s clocked out from supervising the neighborhood and ensuring everyone is following today’s rules, he’s more than happy to cash in on cuddles, spend quality time with his favorite people & eat ALL the snacks. But Red is also a food critic - so make sure the snacks are of high value! Red has amazing leash manners & will happily follow your pace. But he prefers his pace, which is very very casual. He also keeps his kennel very tidy so we have every reason to believe he’s house trained! Maya’s foster notes Demeanor She is wonderfully sweet with a bit of playful puppy. She listens well in general. She is sweet and just wants to be petted. She is not really mouthy at all. An occasional lick almost never any bites or nips. She plays well with my Large German Shepherd, knowing her boundaries. Crate training While the crate is not her favorite place, she still does amazing. She currently sleeps throughout the night in her crate and has not had an accident in the crate. She goes out to potty around 9:30 PM and then gets up around 7:30 AM. She may whine a bit for about 5 to 10 minutes before she’ll settle down quietly even during the day. Potty training She’s on a pretty regular schedule being let out to potty every three through four hours currently. She has no current inside accidents, but is kept to a small area and is constantly observed went out of her crate. She has not yet alerted to go out on her own. But will potty almost immediately every time she’s taken out as long as you walk on the grass with her. On the first day I got her she had if you submissive peeing accidents. After the first day, she’s relaxed in the home and has not had one since. Training She is extremely food motivated. She’s also generally a really good dog and wants to listen. She will occasionally find a non-toy item and try to play with it but simply told to Drop she’ll let it go. She will sit on command. We’re working lying down. And she’s starting to fetch. We are using the word “free” to be allowed out of her crate. She is doing well with that. She will come running when called.
