Her gentle nature shines through in her unwavering love for people; she craves affection and thrives on human touch. But it's not just people she adores-her heart extends to every canine companion she meets, finding joy in playful romps and tail-wagging friendships. Louise's loyalty knows no bounds; she sticks close to her family, her unwavering devotion evident in her excellent recall skills. House and kennel trained, she's a model of canine etiquette. Story
Please contact JoEllen (sagdinfo@aol.com) for more information about this pet. Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/       ** This dog is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX. Prospective adopters must be able to travel to San Antonio to complete the adoption process.  Please apply online at http://texasgreatdane.org/adoption-application/ ** Meet Callie! ❤️ Callie is a beautiful 18-month-old Collie mix weighing approximately 47 pounds. If you are looking for a gentle, loving companion, this sweet girl may be the perfect match for you! Callie truly doesn’t have a mean bone in her body and does wonderfully with everyone she meets. She is house broken, excellent in a kennel, and even knows how to use a dog door. Callie has a calm, affectionate personality and would make a wonderful addition to just about any family. Callie has been diagnosed with heartworm infection. Dogs acquire heartworm disease through the bite of an infected mosquito, and unfortunately heartworm infection is relatively common in many areas of the United States. The good news is that dogs with heartworm infection can continue to live happy, healthy, high-quality lives when given proper care and treatment. Callie is currently on the slow-kill heartworm treatment protocol, and adopters will receive all the necessary medications needed to complete her treatment. She is looking for a compassionate family willing to give her the love and care she deserves while she completes the process. We believe heartworm-positive dogs are just as deserving of loving homes as any other dog, and Callie has so much love to give in return. She’s ready to find her forever family and become someone’s loyal best friend. Please understand you are committing to providing a good home for her entire life (up to 15+ years or more.) You must be committed to housebreaking, age-appropriate enrichment and exercise, leash training, grooming needs, and positive socialization. Her adoption fee is $200. This includes her spay surgery, rabies vaccination, Nobivac® Canine 1-DAPP vaccination, Nobivac® Intra-Trac 3 vaccination, Drontal® Plus, IDEXX SNAP® 4Dx Plus Test, Tri-Heart® Plus chewable tablet, 24PetWatch® microchip, and leash and collar. Please be aware that puppies and small breed dogs do get adopted quickly so interested parties are encouraged to apply online at www.saspca.org. Please ensure your application is complete before submitting. We do verify property ownership, landlord references, apartment/HOA restrictions, veterinary references. Our adoption events are held every other Saturday at Petco located in the Northwoods Shopping Center at 18138 San Pedro Ave, San Antonio TX 78232.  Event hours are 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Additional questions may be directed to sagdinfo@gmail.com. ** This dog is in a foster home in San Antonio, TX. Story
A short time ago in a galaxy not too far away… Eight intergalactic pups just crash-landed at the SNIPSA office! Meet Mercury, Venus, Earth, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Neptune, and Pluto. It seems like they’re still getting used to gravity—but their clumsy paws and shambling scuffles are adorable to watch. Our rescue partners shared that their mama looks to be some sort of Collie mix, and their dad is a black Chihuahua. While we don’t know how they wound up in each other’s orbit, we are excited to offer these puppies better futures now that we’re tracking them on our SNIPSA satellite. From the Collie lineage, these babies may gain a big personality and clever spirit, paired with the famous friendly and energetic nature of a Chihuahua. They should grow to be anywhere between 20 and 50 pounds; a great size for any galaxy! And while they may have fur as dark as deep space, but their hearts shine like stars! Black-colored dogs are known to have a lower adoption rate than their light-coated counterparts, so taking a chance on one of these sweet puppies makes all the difference. Besides, who wouldn’t want a cool sidekick who matches your favorite outfits? Are these retrievers pulling you into their orbit? Beam up a pup and fill out an adoption application today!

These pups are in New Braunfels, Texas too!
