Yet through it all, Journey’s heart remained gentle, hopeful, and full of love. Journey is friendly, affectionate, and playful, with a soft, loving nature that makes her impossible not to adore. She does great with other dogs and kids, and has a beautiful balance of curiosity and calm. She’s the kind of girl who will happily explore the world with you and then settle in close, just to be sure she’s exactly where she belongs. Her mom is a heeler/border collie mix around 40 lbs, and dad remains a mystery — a charming wanderer who passed along good looks and great genes. My name is Rapids and as my name suggests, there`s a challenging course ahead. I was found as a stray at the Dells of Eau Claire park and something inside of me broke that day; going through life knowing that the ones you love can leave you isn`t an easy pill to swallow and I`ve found it hard to trust and give my heart freely ever since. The next humans to love me will have to be patient, tolerant and in this for the long haul; seriously, if you don`t see forever in our future than keep moving. I would do best in a home with other dogs my size or larger, no small children and with an active lifestyle to keep my mind and my body happy.
