Miss Sasha came to Priceless Pets on a recent Hound Haul, which helps relocate homeless hounds and beagles from high-kill shelters in the Southern US where they are oftentimes dumped after hunting season ends. They face certain euthanasia at these shelters, which are usually beyond capacity. Priceless Pets helps to bring these beautiful dogs here to Southern California, where they aren't as common, and find them loving forever homes! From one of Sasha's favorite Priceless Pets Volunteers: "Sasha is VERY sweet. She loves to jump up and hug. She can be a bit shy at first when leaving the safety of the kennel but is beginning to build more confidence. She is kenneled with Maci so she is good around other dogs and they PLAY all the time in the kennel! She would be a wonderful dog for a family with kids. And those big beautiful eyes...." Meet Thor! He and his friends were rescued from Back East where Hounds, Beagles, and some other hunting breeds are euthanized in rural shelters. He was likely dumped after hunting season as he was no longer profitable to them. He was likely an outdoor dog that wasn't taken the best care of, as he is Heartworm positive and 4DX positive. He is currently undergoing medication for both. Thor is a sweetheart who loves attention from people. He is good with dogs. Not sure about cats. Older children or adult only home preferred. From one of Thor's favorite Priceless Pets Volunteers: "Thor is such a sweetheart and also a big goofball, he loves cuddles and also his walks. Overall he is a big love bug!" Smartie came to us from our partners at Lytle Animal Allies (City of Lytle Animal Care and Control) in Texas. He was found on the streets as a stray. He's the sweetest dog that does great around people which makes us believe he has lived in a home. His name is fitting because he is a smart boy! He knows how to sit and walks great on a leash. Some volunteers even said that he is the perfect running buddy! Looking for a sweet and smart dog, come meet Smartie!

** To make an appointment to meet this sweet pup at the Costa Mesa Adoption Center, please fill out an application on its profile page and a Priceless Pets staff member will contact you ** A very pregnant Mama Cinderella came to Priceless Pets on a Hound Haul all the way from Kentucky. Mama Cinderella went straight into foster care and soon after gave birth to Puppy Mulan and her siblings. When Puppy Mulan was very young, we noticed that she wasn't able to balance as well as the other pups and immediately began exercises to help strengthen her muscles and improve her coordination. She swims some but mostly has amazing foster dog siblings to play with that encourage her to move and exercise through lots and lots of play. Preliminary bloodwork wasn't able to point to a cause of her neuropathy and no diseases were detected. Symptoms point to Cerebral Hypoplasia but a neurologist would have to be consulted to confirm. What we DO know is that Puppy Mulan is a happy, fun-loving, social, sweet little girl who loves everyone she meets! From Mulan's foster family: "Mulan's daily routine is just like any other growing puppy's. I take her out into the yard for potty breaks and she eats from a tall feeder (after she is told to Sit and Wait). I take her to work with me where she naps, plays with her toys, and gets lots of love from everyone. When we return home she plays in the yard with everyone and follows me around trying to keep up. In my room, she loves playing with her nest of toys, snuggling with Bobby (my dog) and the cats. She gets along with everyone including the cats. Puppy Mulan has so much love to give and will make a special edition to some lucky family. Fill out an application to meet her today! --- Puppies that have an availability date (aka "Available 5/21") will be available in-store at that location starting on that date as first-come, first-serve. Please check the website for opening times, adoption center addresses, and more information. This pet is positive for Ehrlichia, which is a common flea/tick-borne illness that is treatable and not contagious to other pets as long as they are current on their flea/tick prevention. This pet has completed the 30 days of antibiotics but will be due for a recheck blood test 30 days after finishing the medication (Oct 16, 2023). This recheck blood test will cost $150 at the Priceless Pets Clinic in Chino Hills.
