We are friendly dogs who enjoy making new friends, both two-legged and four-legged. We like to run, play, and enjoy life together, but we can also be very sweet one-on-one when it’s quiet and calm. Even though people think we might be siblings, we are not bonded. We’re just three separate pups each hoping for the same thing: the perfect forever home. We’ve come a long way, and now we’re ready for the next chapter—one filled with love, patience, and a family of our own.

Story
We acquired our puppy through adoption approximately a week and a half ago. He is 7 months old, weighs around 30 pounds, and is already neutered and microchipped. He is a very sweet, affectionate, and friendly boy with no known medical or behavioral issues. He enjoys being around people and has been a wonderful companion during the short time we have had him. He is still a puppy, so he would benefit from continued training, structure, and plenty of opportunities for exercise and enrichment. We are looking for a loving, stable home that is prepared for the long-term commitment of raising a young dog. Ideally, his new family will have the time, patience, and resources to help him continue to grow into a happy, well-adjusted adult dog. The words we would use to describe him are: sweet, loving, gentle, friendly, affectionate, playful, curious, and eager to please.

Duke is a [age] old hound with the heart of a guardian and the soul of a survivor. He was found in the Everglades bravely protecting two small dogs—his unlikely little pack. There’s no doubt Duke kept them safe in such a dangerous environment, and now this loyal boy deserves someone to protect and love him. When Duke first arrived at the shelter, he was scared and unsure, but each day he opens up a little more and adores his human friends. He greets us with tail wags and even hugs! He ignores most other dogs so would be happy to be the only pet in a home. He lives for tennis balls and stuffed toys! Duke is quiet, house-trained, and full of potential. He’s looking for a patient, loving home where he can finally feel safe and cherished. He is vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. Duke is currently being treated for Heartworm, but Abandoned Pet Rescue will continue to provide this medical care until fully treated. Could you be the hero Duke’s been waiting for?
