Meet Jack: professional couch potato, part-time neighborhood watchman, and full-time lover of snacks and people.Jack recently found himself back at H.A.L.O. after his family faced financial hardship and an upcoming move. While he's sad to be starting over, his former owner had nothing but wonderful things to say about him. Affectionate, friendly, relaxed, and well-mannered, Jack is the kind of dog who believes everyone he meets is a potential new best friend—whether they walk on two legs or four.His favorite hobbies include lounging, accepting treats, lounging some more, and occasionally sounding the alarm when something suspicious happens outside. To be fair, his "guard dog" act is mostly for show, as he'd much rather greet strangers than scare them away. He does occasionally take an interest in chasing squirrels, but only when they have the audacity to run through his yard.Jack is housetrained and ready for indoor living, though he previously spent many nights relaxing on a covered porch. One thing to know about Jack is that he enjoys a good adventure. He was once found wandering by a H.A.L.O. employee before being reunited with his owner, so while he isn't a master escape artist, he should always have secure fencing and supervision when outdoors.Since arriving at the shelter, Jack has had several lumps and bumps removed, all of which thankfully tested benign. He also has a history of ear infections that will need occasional monitoring, and he recently received a dental, leaving him with a fresh smile and a clean bill of health.If your dream dog is equal parts couch companion, snack enthusiast, and lovable goofball, Jack is ready to clock in for duty.Requirements: Martingale Collar; Medical Needs (History of Ear Infections)All of our dogs and cats are spayed/neutered, up to date with age appropriate vaccinations, heart worm or feleuk/FIV tested, fecal tested, rabies and tag, and microchipped before being placed in your home. Roxy is an adorable hound puppy that is about 8-months-old. This sweet girl has a gentle, goofy disposition and will be a wonderful companion. Roxy is about 20lbs and needs to gain a little weight so she'll like be about 30lbs when full grown. She has been friendly to the dogs and cats at the shelter and is a social butterfly with the volunteers. She needs some basic puppy train, but is treat motivated to learn! Roxy is vaccinated, spayed and microchipped. We acquired our puppy through adoption approximately a week and a half ago. He is 7 months old, weighs around 30 pounds, and is already neutered and microchipped. He is a very sweet, affectionate, and friendly boy with no known medical or behavioral issues. He enjoys being around people and has been a wonderful companion during the short time we have had him. He is still a puppy, so he would benefit from continued training, structure, and plenty of opportunities for exercise and enrichment. We are looking for a loving, stable home that is prepared for the long-term commitment of raising a young dog. Ideally, his new family will have the time, patience, and resources to help him continue to grow into a happy, well-adjusted adult dog. The words we would use to describe him are: sweet, loving, gentle, friendly, affectionate, playful, curious, and eager to please.

I had gotten Oz with a former partner of mine, and we had him for about a year and a 1/2 together before we broke up. He’s a very VERY loving dog and was raised around cats and children. He’s never had bad experiences with other dogs, he usually just wants the play with them instantly. He’s been trained with some German commands, lay down (Platz) and sit (zitz), he knows how to shake your hand if you say “paw” and extend you hand towards him, if you raise you hand and say “boop” he will jump and touch your hand with his nose, and he also knows speak if you raise your hand flat up in the air and say “speak.” I don’t have the time anymore with my work schedule and being by myself to take care of him, he spends most of the day in his crate, and I spend as much time with him as possible. He needs a backyard to run in and play in, I love him to death, but I want the best for him, rather than to be selfish and keep him locked up for long periods. I have brand new flea meds for him.

Hi, we are Salem, Cruella, and Babadook—well, those aren’t the names we were given, but since we can’t talk, the humans call us that. Even so, we are very happy to be here at Big Dog Ranch. We are friendly dogs who enjoy making new friends, both two-legged and four-legged. We like to run, play, and enjoy life together, but we can also be very sweet one-on-one when it’s quiet and calm. Even though people think we might be siblings, we are not bonded. We’re just three separate pups each hoping for the same thing: the perfect forever home.
