Story
Meet Janice! Janice is an estimated 8-year-old Blue Tick Hound mix with a gentle heart and soulful eyes. Rescued from a high-kill shelter, this lovely girl is now safe and ready to experience the love she’s always deserved. Sweet & Gentle Soul Janice has the calm, loving nature that only comes with experience. She’s incredibly sweet, affectionate, and enjoys the simple things in life—like a soft bed, kind words, and a good belly rub. Friendly & Easygoing Weighing around 50 pounds, Janice gets along wonderfully with other dogs and has a calm, social demeanor. She’s the kind of dog who fits right in—happy to stroll by your side or relax nearby. Resilient & Loving It’s clear Janice has had a tough past; she’s had puppies before and was likely used for breeding. But despite it all, her spirit remains full of love and trust. She’s proof that rescue dogs know how to love the deepest. Ready for Her Forever Home Janice is looking for a kind, patient family who will cherish her for the amazing companion she is. In return, she’ll offer endless loyalty, warmth, and gratitude—every single day. Come meet Janice and see how this beautiful hound will steal your heart! ##2564625##

Story
Sometimes rescue dogs can surprise you. The surprises can be good ones (eg. funny habits), or they could be not as good (eg. I thought he was past that chewing stage!). You know what the only surprise is about Benetton? It's that he is still looking for his forever family, as someone is sure missing out on one amazing pup!!! This guy is the bomb! About a year old, this redbone coonhound is as beautiful on the outside as he is on the inside. The sweetest dog, he quickly transitioned from a shy stray who may not have had a lot of human contact into this loving, funny, playful boy who just adores his people, wants to be near them, and has grown really comfortable in his new foster home environment. He does well on a leash and loves to go for walks. He will still get a little distracted, especially when those dratted squirrels catch his eye. He does well in his crate - in fact, it's his peaceful little spot that he wanders into and out of with the door left open as a comfy place to just hang out. He's had to learn his outdoor potty manners, but has made amazing progress as his routine has become established. He's just a youngster, and is smart as a whip, learns and responds well to direction, and wants to please and be a good boy. When Benny is around, it just makes you want to smile. He's a happy, happy boy and loves playing outside. He's curious as he wanders around the yard, checking things out. He then comes flying toward you when he hears "Come here, Benny!" as that's the signal that it's time to be with his people again. He loves to get pets, and if you rub his head and nose between his eyes, he just closes them as if he has fallen asleep. He loves to snuggle for a few minutes when he first wakes up in the morning, before heading outside to start another great day. You see, every day is great with Benny - both for Benny and for the people around him. If you are looking for a canine soulmate to join your family, this is your guy! Please apply at HeroRescue.org and let us introduce you to your newest, bestest friend! Thank you for your interest in one of our Hero Babies! Before inquiring, we thought it was important to share a few of our policies. Your Current Pets - We do require that your current dogs and cats are current on vaccines and spayed/neutered. Adoptions - We do not have a shelter and are a foster-home based organization. We do require that you have an approved adoption application to schedule a meet and greet. Story
🌟 Meet Sammy! 🌟 Sammy is a 2-year-old sweetheart with a sensitive soul and a heart full of devotion once he knows he can trust you. He was adopted once, but through no fault of his own found his way back into rescue with Journey’s Legacy. Since February 2025, he’s been learning that the right home is still out there—and he’s absolutely worth the wait. Sammy is shy with new people and prefers to take things slow. He doesn’t love affection right in his face until he knows you—and once he’s comfortable, he’ll be the one to initiate it. But once Sammy approves? You’re officially his person. He will become your right-hand man, happily climbing into your lap, clinging to you, and showering you with love, hugs, and devotion. He is incredibly protective of his person and would make a wonderful companion for a single lady—Scout’s honor, he’ll keep you safe. 🫶 Sammy bonds deeply and takes that role very seriously. Sammy is dog friendly, though a bit picky, so a meet & greet is a must. He prefers no cats or small animals and does best with kids ages 10 and up, who can respect his boundaries as he warms up. As for the things Sammy truly loves? Squeaky toys and his raised bed—those are his absolute favorite things in the world. Give him those, plus patience and love, and you’ll have a loyal companion for life. 📍 Located in Cleveland, TN 🚗 Transport available 💰 Adoption fee: $150 Sammy may take a little time to open his heart—but once he does, you’ll never walk alone again. Could you be the one he’s been waiting for? 🐾✨

Story
Meet Willie — our long-legged, fence-climbing, bowl-carrying goofball! Willie is a two-year-old Coonhound mix (possibly with a splash of Great Dane, because have you seen those legs?!). He is approx. 2 years old and weighs 75 lbs. and is fully vetted. He’s tall, lanky, and moves like a baby giraffe who just discovered zoomies. His legs seem to go on for miles, and he hasn’t quite figured out what to do with all of them — which just adds to his charm. This boy is full of personality. Willie loves people and is happiest when he’s getting attention, tossing a ball around, or showing off his silly side. Fetch? Yes, please. Playtime? Absolutely. Being your shadow? Even better. Now, let’s talk about his special talent… Willie can escape a fence like it’s an Olympic sport. Climb it? Sure. Jump it? No problem. If there were gold medals for backyard gymnastics, Willie would be a champion. He’ll need a very secure yard or a home committed to supervised outdoor time — but what he lacks in containment skills, he makes up for in entertainment. One of the funniest things about Willie? Mealtime. Instead of eating from his bowl like a normal dog, he carefully picks it up, carries it over to a blanket, sets it down just so, and then enjoys his meal like a distinguished (and slightly ridiculous) gentleman. It’s his world — we’re just living in it. Willie is goofy, lovable, athletic, and full of heart. He’s looking for a home that will laugh at his antics, keep up with his energy, and love him for the big, silly boy he is. If you’re ready for long legs, big laughs, and a whole lot of personality — Willie is your guy.

Milo has lots of energy and always will be ready to play. He needs an active lifestyle which we can’t give him right now. He’s fine with dogs but will chase small animals. He hunts and kills rodents, along with constantly being by your side. He does not do well with loneliness for long periods, but can be out in a crate. He’s a big lapdog who just loves to play.
