Penguin was rescued as a puppy from a farm in Oklahoma and fostered for the first year of his life by me in South Haven, MI. I found him what I thought would be his forever home--a large family on a small farm--but unfortunately after 3 years it did not work out. Penguin is an incredible companion dog. He is loyal, attentive, adaptable, good off & on leash, a trained protector, an excellent travel companion, emotionally intelligent, amongst so many desirable traits. He knows many commands and has an endless capacity for learning more. Unfortunately he does have his drawbacks too. He has displayed aggression and "bit" (no broken skin whatsoever) a few people. We believe this was out of fear and stubbornness but nonetheless I wouldn't recommend him to families with children. Penguin would be the perfect dog for singles or couples, especially those with land and the flexibility to bring him along on their adventures.
