Story
Location: Big Lake, MN Meet Carter! Carter is a sweet southern gentleman who recently made the big trip from down South to Minnesota, and he’s ready to find a forever family to call his own. This handsome little guy brings plenty of charm, tail wags, and puppy kisses wherever he goes! Like any young pup, Carter is still learning the ropes — including potty training. With a regular routine, positive reinforcement, and lots of praise, he’ll catch on in no time. Carter is curious, playful, and loves being around his people. Whether he’s exploring the backyard, snuggling up after playtime, discovering how to use steps for the very first time, or figuring out how to combat this cold weather, he’s happiest when he’s by your side. If you’re looking for a loyal companion and are ready to help a sweet Southern boy grow into the best dog he can be, Carter just might be your perfect match. --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Buffalo, MN Hello there! My name is Carley and I am the absolute best dog in the world! My foster mom says that all these things on the floor are toys and I am learning all about them with my foster brothers. They taught me fetch, tug of war, and all sorts of things. I can be a bit on the wild side, but once I get tired out, I curl up on my foster mom's lap and have a nap. I like naps. Lots of naps! I may be on the small size now, but my foster mom wonders how I will fit on her lap when I am full-grown. I guess I will just have to settle for being next to her. I am almost fully potty trained as long as I am taken out on a pretty regular basis. I only make a mess inside when it has been a bit too long. Who can fault me for that? I'm just a baby! But we are working on it. That being said, I love to go outside, and my leash skills have improved greatly. I would love to meet you and your family! *Cherry eye has been fixed since those photos were taken.* --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org). Story
Location: Andover, MN Meet Christopher (“Tofer” / “Tofu” / “Puppy Puppy”) 🐾 Christopher is a sweet Coonhound mix (best guess!) with the most adorable oversized ears — when he prances through the yard, he looks like he might just lift off and fly away. Christopher is the definition of a loving puppy. He has an affectionate, people-focused personality and will happily follow his humans from room to room just to be near them. He loves to play and explore, but as soon as he’s had his fun, he’ll trot right back for snuggles. If you’re sitting down, you can expect a cuddle buddy. He does wonderfully with kids (currently living with 16-, 11-, and 8-year-olds), gets along with both large and small dogs, and has even been respectful around chickens. He’s learning that the cat is not a chase toy — his interest is playful, not aggressive — and he’s responding well to guidance. Christopher is currently a little underweight and absolutely LOVES to eat. Meals are serious business! He uses a puzzle feeder to help slow him down, and he’s thriving with regular feedings. He’s making progress with potty training. With consistent potty breaks — especially after play, naps, or meals — he’s doing very well. In fact, he pees almost immediately when his paws hit the grass and has only had one poop accident in the past week. That’s impressive for a young pup! Crate training is a work in progress. He does spend time in his crate during the day and is learning that it’s a safe space. Like many young puppies, he can sometimes bark for stretches when he’d rather be with his people — he just really loves companionship. At night, he prefers to sleep snuggled next to his humans (and will sleep a full 9 hours in bed), but in his crate he can go about 4 hours overnight and is improving with the help of a heating pad and heartbeat puppy stuffie. With continued consistency and patience, he’ll keep building confidence and independence. Christopher has a fantastic temperament and, at his current small size, absolutely loves being held. He comes when called, seeks out affection often, and truly wants to be part of the family in everything you do. If you’re looking for a loyal shadow, a professional snuggler, and a floppy-eared best friend to grow up with your family, Christopher might just be your perfect match. 💛 --------------- The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).
