Hi! My name is Odin. I am a one-year-old redbone coonhound/GSP mix. Strengths: Crate and potty trained, neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, extremely smart, knows basic and bonus commands (sit, down, stay, come, off, back, wait, spin, jump, bang!), active, eager to accompany his family anywhere they go Weaknesses: Could benefit from some further reactivity training (likes to bark at the window when bored, gets really excited around dogs), needs further walk training (great with gentle leader, still working on walking with his human and not in front of) Loves: Dogs, cats, children, adults, food, playing, outside Hates: Being separate from his family, staying inside for too long (I will do best in a home with other dogs, children, and lots of outside time) I will include all remaining food, treats, toys, and all other accessories. Clyde is a big loveable hunk of a hound dog born December 2024. He is so fun and playful and has been around kids and dogs. He might be ok with cats, but he hasn't lived with cats as far as we know. Clyde was a stray that was never claimed and he really would love to find a home and a family of his own and has his paws crossed that he will be able to Home for the Holidays. All pets adopted from the Humane Society of Freeborn County will be spayed or neutered, up to date on age appropriate vaccinations, testing and will be microchipped. All of this is included in their adoption fee. Fill out an application to adopt at freeborncountyhs.org When transitioning your new pet home please allow for at least 4-6 weeks for your pet to adjust to their new home. They will need this time to decompress, and adjust to a new routine and environment. During that time we will provide check ins and counseling to ensure a successful transition. Please review all basic adoption requirements listed on our website before applying. We take finding the right homes for the animals in our care very seriously. They deserve nothing but the best! Please allow 2-7 days for applications to be processed. If an animal is listed in foster care, these pets are not at our facility, but are in foster care homes. They are still available for adoption, and meet and greets are done with pre-approved applicants only. When we got the call about a floppy eared dog that no-one claimed hanging out under an elderly gentleman's truck, we decided to investigate. We asked the kind niece who was caretaking her uncle (owner of the truck) to send us some pics! Oh yes, we recognize a true hound when we see one! Our response was, "oh, that's a goofy hound!" When she completed the stray form she indicated the breed was a GOOFY HOUND! We sure got a kick out of this and when this silly boy came to us on Sunday we could certainly see why there should be a breed of GOOFY HOUND! The sweet little girl in the family fondly was calling him Towzer and our staff who did his intake called him Todd. So Towzer Todd the Goofy Hound is now available through Let Love Live. He is a gentle, silly, fun loving boy who wants to be a lap dog. Seriously this guy is going to make the BEST family dog. We are working on his leash handling and getting all of his essential vetting taken care of while he relishes being loved by our rescue team! Apply now for this fun boy.
