Hi, my name is Maverick. I am from Missouri. Maverick is a sweet, affectionate puppy whose favorite place is right next to his person. After a good play session, he’s happy to curl up beside you and just be close. He very interested in our dogs and wants to play with everyone he meets - no fear, no hesitation. He’s curious about cats, though his puppy energy can be a little much for them right now. He settles in his kennel with only a little barking that doesn’t last long, and he already responds well to “let’s go inside” and “let’s go outside.” Maverick is very food motivated, which makes training rewarding. He’s had a couple accidents inside but is making good progress on potty training. Like most puppies, he’s a chewer, so he’ll do best in a home ready with plenty of toys and appropriate outlets. If you’re looking for a happy, people-loving pup, Maverick is your guy.

Location: Minneapolis, MN Hi! My official rescue name is Houndy but my foster mom calls me Heidi. She says that I am the sweetest dog she has ever known. My favorite thing to do is cuddle up next to her and just hang out. I am house trained, kennel trained, and respectful of everything lying around the house. I’m not much of a player but do fine with other dogs. I haven’t met any cats yet but I’m sure with proper introductions, I would do just fine with them as well. I do very well on a leash but to be honest, I prefer a slower pace walk where I can smell all the smells. I’m not much of a barker but I will chime in when my foster dog sister barks at other dogs walking by the yard. If you are looking for a mellow companion that will love you unconditionally - I could be your girl. Meet Echo! Talk about a handsome hound! This gorgeous boy is approximately 6–7 months old and already weighs 57 pounds, so he is going to be a big boy when he fills out. He looks identical to a Black and Tan Coonhound, except for one very important detail—he has absolutely no tan! His beautiful black coat is accented by a white patch on his chest, giving him a look all his own. We aren't if he is mixed with anything but whatever he is, he sure is striking! He came to our rescue as a stray, and we can't imagine how someone could have let this beautiful boy end up on his own. Thankfully, his days of being a stray are behind him, and he's ready to find the family he was meant to have. This sweet boy does wonderfully with dogs of all sizes and has been friendly and social with his canine friends. He has good manners and does not jump on you when he gets excited. He has that wonderful hound personality—sweet, goofy, affectionate, and ready to be part of a family! He was neutered yesterday, is vaccinated, and is officially ready for his new home!
