Story
Arthur is a mixed breed boy who we were asked to take from a very good shelter in SC before his time was up.  The folks at the shelter described this handsome boy as 'our resident clown. This big, goofy boy has a heart as big as his head and a personality that shines on the darkest days. Whether he's zooming after toys or trying to sit on your lap, he's guaranteed to make you laugh. Beneath all the silliness, is a loyal, affectionate pup who just wants to love and be loved.'  Arthur is 3 years old and seems to be cat tolerant with supervision.  He is faintly heartworm positive and is receiving medication.   Arthur is about 75 pounds.   He is in a foster home and doing great!!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 30, 2026, 11:39 am

Story
Apollo came into my life in an unexpected way. About a year and a half ago, I met a man who was going through a difficult time and could no longer care for him. It was clear that Apollo was loved, but he needed a stable home and a fresh start. I took him in, and he has been a loyal companion ever since. Apollo is a Coonhound/Husky mix with a big personality and an even bigger heart. He is house-trained, affectionate, and loves being around people. He enjoys spending time outdoors, exploring, and being part of whatever his family is doing. He forms strong bonds with his people and is happiest when he can be included in daily life. Apollo is energetic and would do best with an owner who can provide regular exercise, attention, and companionship. He is friendly with people and loves meeting new friends. Finding Apollo a new home has been an incredibly difficult decision, but my goal is to find him a family that can give him the time, activity, and love he deserves.

Story
Maple is a sweet girl who came to us after receiving treatment for heartworm. She has obviously not had an easy life. She was painfully thin, skittish around people, and initially seemed uncomfortable being indoors. But dogs are amazing creatures and it is amazing how much progress she has made in just a few days of being in foster care! She has warmed up to everyone, and will follow her foster mom everywhere. She is very comfortable around the resident dogs and will try to play with them. She is thriving on a routine, good food, calm environment, and lots of love. Maple responded well to her heartworm treatment, and the vet believes she will live a long, healthy life. We hope that she finds the perfect forever family to give her the love and care she so deserves! If you are interested in adopting a dog, please fill out our application. Meetings will not be scheduled without an application. Please visit our website www.rogersrescues.com to learn more about this amazing pet and to see other available dogs.

Story
Just one look at Andy's face, and you'll understand why everyone falls in love with him. Those soulful eyes...those adorable floppy ears with their soft, feathery curls...that happy puppy grin. Andy is simply irresistible. Born around April 1, Andy is one of nine puppies born to a beautiful, gentle Redbone Coonhound mix mom. Like his brothers and sisters, he didn't have the easiest start in life and arrived in rescue a little underweight. Since coming to Critter Cavalry Rescue on June 29, he's been getting plenty of nutritious food, lots of love, and every chance to grow into the healthy, happy puppy he was always meant to be. Today, Andy weighs 14.8 pounds and is expected to mature into a handsome 45–50-pound companion. While his mom is a Redbone mix, we're convinced there's another wonderful breed or two in his family tree. Maybe Lab...maybe Aussie...or perhaps even a little Cocker Spaniel, judging by those impossibly cute ears! Whatever his mix may be, one thing is certain—he's absolutely perfect just the way he is. Andy is everything you hope for in a puppy. Curious. Joyful. Smart. Affectionate. He's already using pee pads like a champ when he can't make it outside, and he's beginning to learn about crates, leashes, and all the exciting adventures that come with growing up. This little guy wakes up every day ready to discover the world. Whether he's exploring the backyard, playing with other dogs, making friends with cats, or greeting complete strangers with a wagging tail, Andy approaches life with confidence and happiness. He truly believes everyone is a friend he just hasn't met yet. Because he's an active, intelligent puppy, Andy will thrive with a family that enjoys spending time outdoors. A securely fenced yard would be wonderful, or an active family committed to daily walks, trips to the dog park, and plenty of playtime and training. He's eager to learn and will blossom with the guidance, consistency, and love that every puppy deserves.  Andy isn't just looking for a home. He's looking for his people—the family who will celebrate his silly puppy moments, teach him new things, laugh at his antics, and love him through every stage of life. In return, he'll fill your days with laughter, companionship, and unconditional love for years to come. If your heart skipped a beat when you saw Andy, it may be because he's been waiting for someone just like you.
