Story
I adopted Finley five years ago from the Nashville Humane Society after seeing him featured on the news as Dog of the Day. He spent about a year as a stray before being rescued, and the moment I met him, I knew he was meant to be mine. Finley is about 6 yrs old and is the most gentle, affectionate companion. He loves curling up under the covers behind your knees at night, walks, long drinks of water, and watching his squirrel friends (including Rudy from our Atlanta days). One of his sweetest habits is what I call parking, when he gently backs up between your legs and leans into you because he feels safe. He is fully house-trained and has never had an accident indoors. He knows many tricks (videos available!) and has an adorable talent for gently chomping popcorn kernels instead of gulping them down. As I prepare to move overseas (New Zealand) for graduate school, seeking a calm, loving forever home where Finley can receive the stability, companionship, and affection he deserves.

Story
Mia is the most cuddly pup you'll ever meet. She loves to snuggle right next to your face, or nap on the couch with you. This little sour patch kid is full to the brim with excitement and energy. She loves to run, jump and play. Mia does well with other dogs, but doesn't really understand boundaries. She thinks everyone wants to play with her. She loves toys with squeakers. She walks well on leash unless she sees something interesting and then she may pull you some. She is doing well with house training, but still has the occasional accident. She is very good about using puppy pads. Mia can be housed with cats, she shows no aggression to them, but does enjoy chasing my boys through the house, which may stress a cat out. If you're looking for high energy, big cuddles, and a sweet face Mia may be the dog for you. She should be small/medium sized full grown. Mia would do best in a home with kids or another dog to play with As of 11/9/25 she weighs 20 lbs. Consider putting in an application for her. DOB: 6/20/25 Mia has been dewormed, had her DA2PP vaccines and will be microchipped. If interested in Mia, please fill out an adoption application: https://new.shelterluv.com/form/other/MFAR/42224-mfar-adoption-application
