Story

Tabor is a 3ish year old coonhound that I found on the side of the road. His best friend is a 5lb kitten and he is very kid friendly. Tabor is great with other dogs and loves to play with people and other dogs, he does have a submissive personality with other dogs. He has the best snores. When I found him he was skin and bones. He loves to run and gets the zoomies on every walk. He’s a bit of a diva and likes his paws wiped after being in the rain. Tabor goes crazy for yogurt and sweet potatoes. He will shake your hand for a treat. He is super smart and learns tricks very fast. He loves to hide his favorite toys under your pillow. I need to rehome him due to working too many hours. His life is bigger than being in a crate all day.

Viktor has a joyful personality and a big smile that seems to make everyone around him smile, too. He’s always ready to join you—whether that means hiking a trail, exploring the neighborhood, or simply following you around the house. He’s the ultimate shadow dog and professional wingman. At home, Viktor loves playing with his foster siblings, chewing on his favorite toys, sunbathing in the yard, and—most importantly—snuggling with his people. Personal space? Viktor isn’t particularly familiar with the concept! Once he curls up beside you, he turns into a total noodle and will happily accept belly rubs for as long as you’re willing to give them. Viktor would do best as an only dog or with a female canine companion who enjoys playing. He needs a family committed to keeping him physically and mentally fulfilled. Cats aren’t his thing, so a feline-free home is best. Viktor is leash-trained and crate-trained, although he’d much rather be wherever you are. The adopter will be responsible for the cost of the retest. My adoption fee is $300 (card $309), because I am a medical case or am heartworm positive, which includes: · Annual distemper booster · Rabies · Spay/neuter · Microchip *** The rescue will pay for the injections for heartworm treatment at Shoreline Vet. Hospital in Jacksonville. My adopter would be responsible for the take home meds which average about $200, depending on size, over the 4-month span of treatment. Meet Charlie! Sweet, quirky hound dog with an old soul looking for a soft place to land in his golden years. Low-energy gentleman who loves lounging in his dog bed with the occasional stroll around the yard. Great with dogs of all sizes and absolutely adores kids ages 5–11. He’s wonderfully clumsy, so tiny toddlers may want to give him a little extra room. No crate needed! Charlie doesn’t like being crated but has done wonderfully left loose in the house while his foster mom runs errands. Mostly potty trained and will pace or give a random bark when he needs to go out. Ask, “Charlie, go potty?” and he’ll head for the door. Food is serious business! He should be fed separately from other pets, and the kitchen trash definitely needs to stay out of reach. Bath-time champ once you convince him to actually get into the tub. Terrified of fireworks, thunder, and other loud noises. His future family should be prepared to help him through storms and holidays and discuss situational anxiety medication with their veterinarian if needed. This is Stormy She's almost 6 She loves kids and other dogs and is very friendly. A little skittish (since birth) but warms up to you fast. She's all caught up on her shots. She's never eaten up any furniture or turned over a trash can to get food out. Very healthy, no surgeries.
