Meet River 🐸This adorable little bundle of black and white is River. She is a 10 month old puppy who is believed to be a terrier mix of sorts. While she may be small, weighing in at 25lbs, she’s a lively girl with lots of spunk - and she’s ready to take the world by storm!River came in with another dog from an awful neglect case. They were both kept outside in the same small wire crate without food or water. They both were with us for a good bit of time to get back up to a healthy weight, along with dealing with a couple of other health issues. Now that she’s up to snuff in terms of health, River is looking to find herself a forever home; one that will love and cherish her as much as she deserves.Despite her rough past, River hasn’t let that dampen her views on people. While it might take a second or two for her to realize you’re safe, once she’s realized that, it’s game on! She’s a friendly, inquisitive, and playful little gal who loves to run around and play, play, play! She does relatively well on a leash. Due to the conditions she was in, we do not believe that she is housetrained, so be aware that is likely something you’ll have to help her learn. We also do not think she has been inside of a house much, so she might also need a little bit of patience and kindness as she learns and discovers what all the new things and noises are. River does well with other dogs. In fact, it would probably be best if she had another dog companion just to help her learn the ropes on how to properly be a dog again and gain her confidence. That said, I’m sure with the right person, she would be perfectly content being your only dog. If you’re wondering about cats, she’s still a typical puppy that can get excited and wants to play/chase cats around - so she would need a little bit of training and would do better with a dog-friendly cat. What about kids? She loves them! Any and all sorts of humans are her favorite. River is a sweet girl who deserves to find herself a forever home, one that will love and cherish her as much as she does you. 🐾
