Story
Mack is seeking a new home.Mack loves to play ball, go on walks and play tug. He is very energetic and friendly towards people but doesn’t get along with cats and needs a slow intro to other dogs. He knows most basic commands and can walk on a leash. He would do best in a home with a physical fence as he does not obey an electric fence. Mack is house trained and UTD on all of his vetting.  If you are looking for your next running buddy or best friend you can apply to meet Mack at ricopetrecovery.org.  Adoption fee is $250.

Story
Maisy is a spirited girl who is always on the go. It is possible she may have been a marathon runner in a previous life. She is an agile lean running machine. Try and keep up. If you're looking for some added excitement in your life, this hound brings unending energy to the table. She is definitely the center of attention at any party and with her hilarious sense of humor, she is sure to entertain. However many toys you think your need, double that. She chews bone, chases balls, and puts her all into a game of tug of war. She can catch sometimes and she loves a good enrichment toy, her favorite being a Wobbler. She plays hard and should nap but fights sleep like a toddler. You may catch her sleeping standing-up because she just wants to stay near you. Maisy is devoted two year old coonhound. You will be her whole world. She will show affection for you everyday. If you're looking for loyalty, it's is built into her genes. She loves attention and cuddling and will accompany you anywhere you take her. She is great with some dogs, but can be selective. Maisy is potty trained with training bells so she can let you know when she wants to go outside. If you're going to be gone from home awhile, this clever girl is even trained to a pee pad. She prefers a fenced yard but is trained on a long lead. She also has some leash experience and is crate trained. Her recall is good when she is not distracted. She is food motivated and highly intelligent so as long as the treats are tasty enough, Maisy could probably learn algebra. Maisy is gorgeous, smart, and goofy. She also needs a Valentine so if you're looking for love and long legs, this girl has a great big heart to give to a special forever family!

Story
Meet Jag! 🐾 Jag is a handsome 3-year-old Shepherd/Hound mix weighing about 59 pounds who is equal parts explorer, sweetheart, and loyal companion. After arriving from West Virginia, Jag needed a little time to adjust to all the new sights, sounds, and routines of rescue life. While he can be a bit cautious when faced with unfamiliar situations, he's shown us again and again that he gains confidence quickly and forms strong bonds with the people around him.One thing that's impossible to miss about Jag is how much he enjoys meeting people. At a recent outdoor adoption event, he greeted visitors with tail wags and kisses all day long. Volunteers described him as a wonderful dog to have at the event, and he was very well received by everyone he met. After spending hours in the summer heat surrounded by people and other dogs, Jag remained a good sport, with only a couple brief grumbles when everyone was getting tired.Recently, Jag joined a local high school track team outing where he spent the day meeting students and enjoying a change of scenery. Although the bicycles were a little intimidating at first, he quickly relaxed and settled in. By the end of the day, it was obvious he was having a great time—and his student handler completely fell in love with him.Everyone who spends time with Jag comes away saying what a good boy he is. Beneath his handsome looks is a gentle dog who simply needs a family willing to give him a little time to settle in and feel secure. Once he does, you'll discover a loyal companion ready to share life's adventures with you.📹 Be sure to check out Jag's video at the end of his photos to see more of his personality in action! If you'd like to meet Jag, please complete an application at caninecollective.org. If you already have a dog at home, bring them along for a meet and greet so everyone can get acquainted.
