Story
Meet Homer – Your Perfect Adventurer & Couch Companion Homer is a truly special guy with a huge heart and the kindest, soulful brown eyes you’ll ever see. Through no fault of his own, Homer is looking for a new forever home after his owner became ill and could no longer care for him. Despite the change, Homer has nothing but love left to give. He was recently estimated at 10-years-old and weighs 63lbs. This handsome, mature gentleman has a calm nature that makes him a joy to be around. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs and fits right into a pack, happily avoiding any need to be “top dog.” He enjoys both human and canine company and is just as content hanging out with you as he is going for a walk. Homer loves his daily strolls and can handle longer hikes with ease. He’s great on leash, enjoys car rides, and would be thrilled to join you on road trips and adventures. At the end of the day, he settles in beautifully and sleeps comfortably in his crate. He’s housetrained, well mannered, and truly a perfect gentleman in the home. Because he can get a bit enthusiastic and may jump up, Homer would do best with older kids. He is not a fan of cats, but he is very dogfriendly and submissive in his interactions. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who’s affectionate, well behaved, and ready to be your best friend, Homer might just be the one you’ve been waiting for. He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and will be available for adoption starting 2/21/26 through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA KL# 16182.  ##2662160##

Story
Cletus (Currently going by Oscar)'s Story Dumped and left with a garbage can for shelter, his companion had been killed on the road. With lots of help, he was finally out of the cold. Traveling from Morgantown with Cletus, volunteers call him “the sweetest of hounds”. He insists on giving you his paw to hold. Cletus is estimated to be between 6 and 7 years old -- an "adult" on the cusp of being called a senior. He is underweight at 67 lbs. but now that he has a regular feeding schedule and lots of attention, Cletus will surely gain a few pounds and many new friends.
