Story
Copper is about 2 years old! He roamed onto someone’s property with a broken leg and they didn’t want to take him to get help so they said they were going to “put him down.” His left front paw was snapped in half, and he had a plate put in. He has since broken it again, but it has healed well, and we are waiting to get new x-rays and check on the bone. Copper is very dog friendly! He loves people but can be scared of some men. He doesn’t like change very much and likes his routine! He loves toys a LOT and playing rough. He lets out a cute howl when he’s happy or excited He needs some socializing with new people, but he is a huge sweetheart who loves to sniff faces and play with toys quietly on the couch. Copper is house trained, crate trained, and good with both dogs and cats. Copper is a coonhound mix and approximately 42 pounds. Included with adoption: Age-appropriate vaccinations, up to date heart-worm preventative, heart-worm test if over 6 months, microchip with registration, and spayed or neutered- if not already, a voucher is provided. Story
Meet Kolanut (Kola) the 1.5 year old Black and Tan Hound! Kola is currently in Independence Missouri but will travel for love. Kola is a smart, eager-to-please people-loving dog and would be the perfect companion for you. Kola loves to run and play and would be happy to become your new running buddy. She is actively learning new skills and tricks to help with day-to-day life, and she sits very patiently waiting for her food. Kola would prefer to be the only pet in the home, as she finds that her goodies are worth the world and she does not like to share. She also has a higher prey drive and would not be well suited for a home with small dogs or cats. Kolanut however would love to play with you! Her favorite toys are soft plush toys and she also enjoys bone chews. If you're ready to meet a sweet girl who will cuddle with you all night, reach out to meet Kola today!

Story
Eleanor is currently one of our fospice dogs. She is not available for adoption and will remain in our care. Eleanor is doing so well. She is recovered from her surgery. Very healthy and happy now. Found as stray in the middle of nowhere, we received a call from the ACO requesting our support for this gal. She was covered in fleas so thick you could see the colonies and jumping everywhere. She was covered in mange and had a tumor. She was so weak that she collapsed as soon as she knew she was safe. She needed an immediate blood transfusion. Please consider donating to her care. Story
Meet Kobe II! Or as he is lovingly known as (Mr.) Bones/Kobe Bones He is a 5 1/2 years old, 76lb, coonhound and labrador mix! with adorable brown eyes and a unique double dewclaw. We adopted Kobe from the animal shelter in our town and it was love at first sight! He was so gentle with our then-toddler and had such a sweet face and goofy personality!!Kobe is a snuggly boy who prioritizes a good nap. However, don't let him fool you this boy can run and does so often. Even though he has hip dysplasia it doesn't slow him down! He can outrun the other dogs he plays with any day. He gets along with children and loves their kisses and hugs. Kobe prefers to be alone when it comes to other animals. When he is around other dogs for playtime it's best to do it one on one he can get a bit overwhelmed and uncomfortable otherwise. However he loves to play tag and tug of war any chance he gets! Kobe is the sweetest boy! He especially loves a good cuddle and watching tv with his human friends. An ideal home for Kobes would be one with older children, or someone who enjoys the slower things in life. Kobe is House Trained and Crate Trained. He knows how to Sit, Stay, Lie down, Sit up, Yes/No, Leave it, and bedtime (also known as place). He is one smart boy! He loves riding in the car, taking walks, and earning treats. His favorite games are Tug of War (He thinks the ropes with the tassels are the Bee's Knees} and scent tracking! Scent tracking is when he waits where he can't see us and we hide bits of treats and his job is to find them. This sweet boy is deserving of the perfect furever home. Could it be with you?
