Story
Miley has really bonded with the 15 year old daughter in the home and gets so excited to see her, always ready for cuddles and affection. Miley spends her days hanging out with the other dogs in her foster home and especially loves playing with the two-year-old dog, who matches her energy perfectly. Miley would thrive in a home with another dog who enjoys both playtime and snuggles. Because of her energy level, we recommend if children are living in the home that they are 8 years of age or older. A fenced backyard is a must for her, so she is not a good fit for apartment living. She is potty trained, create trained and sleeps throughout the night. Miley is 6 1/2 months old, weighs 61 lbs and we are guessing she is a Hound mix. As the new year begins, Miley is wishing that 2026 is the year she finds her forever home. If you are interested in adopting Miley, please submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org *Please check your junk email folder if you do not receive a response from a Rescue Row member within 3 business days. *You must live within an hour of the DFW Metroplex because we do trial adoptions and require a home check *Our adoption fees are as follows paid by cash, a check made out to Rescue Row, Venmo: @Rescue-Row or at Zelle: info@rescuerowinc.org Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs. ##2534092##

Story
Meet Shia – Your Loyal, Lovable, Long-Eared Best Friend! Shia is a 5 1/2 year old Black and Tan Coonhound weighing around 70 pounds and ready to steal your heart (and maybe a snack or two)! This handsome hound is full of personality—intelligent, affectionate, and eager to please. Shia absolutely loves other dogs and even gets along with cats! He thrives in environments with structure and consistency and has done well in both home settings and doggy daycare. He’s housebroken, crate trained, and has been professionally trained to help him shine his brightest. He would do best in an adult-only home or one without small children. While incredibly friendly, he’s still learning personal space with kiddos and needs a calm, patient environment where his boundaries—especially around food and sleep—are respected. He’s made great progress with training and just needs a family who understands and continues the consistency he's benefited from. Shia is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm negative, and current on prevention. He’s a goofy, loving boy who wants nothing more than to be your loyal sidekick. Looking for a loyal friend who loves long walks, belly rubs, and a cozy crate nap? Shia just might be your perfect match. Story
Meet Walker Walker is a gentle, steady soul who deserved so much better than being left behind. When his owner dumped him, he was confused and heartbroken — you could see him trying to understand what he did wrong. But the truth is, he’s a good dog. A really good one. At about 2–3 years old, Walker has the perfect adult-dog temperament: calm, smart, observant, and incredibly sweet. He’s leash trained, well-mannered, and so easy to handle. He loves to play fetch and will happily bring the ball back over and over — but he’s just as content to settle in beside you and quietly watch the world go by. Walker has a gentle presence that brings peace into a room. He loves being included, enjoys playtime, and then shifts right back into his calm, chill mode. What he wants most is a family who will never let him down again — someone who will appreciate the steady companionship and quiet joy he offers. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal, adult dog with a heart of gold, Walker is your guy. We believe every dog deserves to be part of the family and live safely indoors. Exceptions may be made for specific breeds or unique circumstances where an outdoor environment is appropriate and secure.
