Are you looking for your next adventure and cuddle buddy? This is Hank! He is a sweet, lovable and amazing pup. He is the best combo of playful and cuddly! Hank loves to play tug, go on walks, go for rides in the car to get Starbucks pup cups, hang out while you cook and watch TV and LOVES to snuggle. You can usually find Hank underneath a blanket or pillow trying to sleep or sitting with a toy ready to play. He is very good on leash and loves other dogs, but is not a fan of cats, and absoluely loves meeting other people. Hank is crate trained and is mostly housebroken but can definelty let you know when he needs a walk by starting at the door to go outside. Hank will be your perfect match if you love a good mix of adventure and relaxing. His big ears are to die for and he has the BEST puppy dog eyes ever!! Hank really is just a sweetheart who deserves his forever home!

He isn’t the kind of pup who will immediately rush up and ask for attention — but with patience, kindness, and time, we believe there is so much more to King waiting to shine through.One thing King has made very clear is that he loves other dogs! Hello, Lucy! Lucy is a sweet and petite, redbone coonhound who found herself in a rural shelter with more dogs than adopters. At only a year or two old and 40-45 pounds, she really is a little sweetie! She gets along great with other dogs and is excellent with kids! She is house trained and crate trained too! Currently, she is crated while her foster parents work during the day and enjoys sleeping loose at night. Lucy is a playful, active, young lady who will be most successful with an active family. A fenced in yard and other doggie friends to romp with his her idea of heaven! Tug of war with her canine foster siblings is her favorite game besides counter surfing! Hey, she is almost perfect but she's still a coonhound! If you are ready for lots of fun and a few shenanigans, Lucy Lu would be perfect for you! Augusta Dog Adoptions is a 501c3 charitable, foster based rescue. We take applications online and schedule adoptions in Waynesboro, Va. A $175.00 adoption fee ($300 for puppies under 6 months old) helps us take care of all the dogs we rescue. All dogs are spayed/neutered, tested for heartworm and tick borne diseases (if old enough), microchipped, and vaccinated for rabies (if old enough), distemper/parvo and bordetella. They are also treated for internal and external parasites. Many dogs also receive extensive medical care such as dental work and major surgeries. Say hello to Forrest. He is as sweet as him namesake. A teenage boy took him from a suspicious situation to make sure he got the life he deserved. Thanks to that boy, Forrest made his way to one of our volunteers who instantly said “yes” to fostering him. He walked with a limp that she knew needed to be checked out and she was right. Forrest suffered a pelvic fracture sometime in his short little life. But the vet said it was already healing and with rest and proper support he would continue to heal and do great without surgery. And he is doing great. We don’t know what happened to cause this injury. We just know that his life is going to be amazing from here on out. He is fostered with other dogs and cats and he loves everyone he meets. His foster mom may be spoiling him :) He is doing great with house and crate training and he is a fast runner and learner. He will be great for a fun active family. We are estimating he was born about the end of May so he is a typical puppy with typical puppy energy and habits. He weighs about 15 pounds and we are having to guess at his breed mix. We are thinking he will end up being a medium dog. He will complete his vetting and be ready to travel to his forever home by then end of Sept. His adoption fee is $399 and if he has to be transported from TN where he is currently fostered there will be an additional $200 fee.
