Story
Hello, everyone!  I'm a vibrant 3-ish year old corgi mix and my name is Beene, affectionately known as Benny Boy by humans.  I can't stop smiling since I arrived in Canada in December 2023!  I have been fortunate to live with caring foster families who've helped me settle into my new life.  As a special-needs dog requiring diapers/belly bands for indoors, I am looking for an understanding and patient a person/family able to commit to my long-term care.  I'm a lively pup with lots of energy, endless love to give, and excitement for what is to come!  Breed: Corgi/Canaan DogAge: 3.5 yrsGender: MaleWeight: 45 lbsEnergy Level: moderateCountry of origin: Middle East                                                                                                                                                                                       Highlight(s): Special needs, energetic, affectionate, gentle                                                                                                                                                                                  Neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped. Adoption fee is by donation.  Ideal home - Caring and patient human(s) understanding of his incontinence and able to change belly bands/diapers. Benny's story - Born in a small village in the Middle East, Benny’s journey hasn’t been an easy one. At just one month old, he was found whimpering alone under a tree. With his mother and littermates nowhere to be found. A kind human brought him to a shelter, where he spent 1.5 years sharing a small space with other dogs. Despite the challenges, Benny’s resilience and sweet personality shone through, eventually earning him a ticket to a new life in British Columbia. Benny has met several foster families who've cared for him deeply, and where he had the opportunity to live with other dogs, which he got along very well with.  Personality - Benny is a true sweetheart who lives for human affection. He’s known for gently placing his paw on your arm or leg as if to say, “It’s time for pets!” His soulful eyes are guaranteed to melt your heart. Though Benny can be a little timid when meeting new humans (especially men), he warms up quickly with patience and kindness. In fact, his current male foster won him over in just five minutes! Benny is a fast learner, eager to please, and very food-motivated, making training a breeze. He’s gentle, has no resource guarding, and is great with kids.Benny thrives in the company of playful canine friends and would love a home with another dog or access to regular dog park outings. He does not have any documented separation anxiety so he is fine to be left alone for a few hours. Special Needs - Benny’s incontinence issue is likely neurological (undiagnosed). He signals when he needs to go outside for bowel movements but struggles with bladder control; managed indoors with belly bands. A home with a fenced yard would be ideal to provide him space to run, play, and explore while making bathroom breaks easier for everyone.                               Fears: Some loud noises such as busy traffic can spook Benny. Please be patient assisting me in my transition. Energy Level: moderate I get along with:Dogs: yesCats: unknown (has been cautiously curious from a distance)Kids: yes Training: understands and responds to his name.  Knows a few basic commands.  Please help me learn!Leash skills: some.  Please be prepared to train me/continue training.House trained: No. Incontinence problems.  Typically signals at the door when needing to release bowels. Story
Meet Luvie! Breed: Spitz/Welsh Corgi MixAge: 8 yearsGender: Female    Weight: 15 lb   Highlight(s): Good with other dogs, calm, affectionate Hi, I’m Luvie, an 8-year-old girl with a gentle heart and a love for the quiet life. I was found as a stray in a rural area in February 2024, and I’m now hoping to find a loving forever home. I can be a little shy around strangers, but offer me a tasty treat and some patience, and I’ll slowly warm up! Once I feel comfortable, I enjoy gentle pets. I tend to feel a little more at ease around women, but kindness is what matters most to me. I'm good with greeting new dogs, but I rarely play with them. I'm much more comfortable around similar-sized or smaller dogs rather than larger ones. Generally, I'm a dog who is more interested in activities with people than with other dogs. Recently, I had a chance to meet a dog of a similar size, and I was very happy! You can see how happy I was in one of my videos. During walks, I don't get too excited; I just slowly enjoy sniffing around. I'm still a bit nervous about the urban environment, so I walk much better in quiet places. When I spot cats on the street, I usually try to avoid them and tend to focus more on my handler instead. However, I haven't met an indoor cat yet. All I need is a loving home where I can give lots of cuddles, and be your happy little companion. Could you be my forever home? I get along with:Dogs: yesCats: potentially yesKids: yes Energy Level: Low, I love laid-back lifestyle. Fears: Non observed. Please be patient assisting me in my transition.Leash skills: Yes. Please be prepared to continue training.House trained: Yes 50% Pee-Pads / 50% Outdoor Health notes: I have been neutered/spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. My adoption fee is $750.00 CAD plus applicable taxes. This includes my transportation to Canada, if I am able to be accompanied by a flight volunteer directly to Vancouver. Disclaimer: It is important for all applicants to visit our website, http://www.lovedatlastdogrescue.ca/adopting/ and read about Loved at Last Dog Rescue. Please Note: LALDR highly encourages adopters to research some local dog trainers before their dog arrives. Although a 1-on-1 trainer is often not needed, it is good to have someone in mind in case any problematic behaviours arise. Most bad behaviours can be modified if caught early enough, so make sure to nip undesirable behaviours in the bud before they become serious problems. Basic training should be taken seriously, but should not begin until your dog is well settled in - at least a couple of weeks. After you feel your new dog is relaxed and comfortable in their new home, check out training courses in your local area. Even basic beginner courses like those taught at a local pet store can have a huge benefit in helping your dog learn to socialize and get used to being in public situations, all with the added benefit of strengthening their bond with you. The age and breed of a dog is usually an educated guess, so we are not able to guarantee the accuracy of age or breed of our dogs. Information included in the profile is provided to us from the international rescuer or local fosters. LALDR does not have access to overseas dogs and cannot always verify the accuracy of their descriptions. Every dog is an individual and can act differently in different situations based on the person adopting them and the environment in which they live. Normally, we will not approve adoptions to homes with children under 12 years of age. However if a dog has been determined to be good with children we will approve applicants with children 8 years or older. More information can be found on our website. I get along well with other dogs, especially those my size or smaller, although I prefer spending time with my humans rather than playing with doggy friends. I’m also gentle and have no resource-guarding issues. I may be potentially compatible with cats, and I usually avoid cats I see outdoors. I’m a low-energy girl who loves a relaxed lifestyle. Quiet walks are my favorite, as busy city environments can make me nervous. I rarely bark and haven’t shown separation anxiety. I’m still learning my housetraining (50% outdoors, 50% pee pads), and I’m afraid of getting into cars, so I’ll need someone patient to help lift me in. If you’re looking for a calm, sweet companion to share peaceful days, cozy moments, and lots of love, I might be your perfect match. ##2848780##

Story
Hi, I’m Jeff! Here is a little info about me: Breed: Jindo/Welsh Corgi mixAge: 5 yearsGender: Male    Weight: 16 lb   Height: 14 inchesHighlight(s): Good with other dogs, social, affectionate Hi, I’m Jeff! I survived one of South Korea’s devastating wildfires in 2025. When kind volunteers found me, I was tied to a pole inside an empty house. Thankfully, I wasn’t hurt, and my owner later made the difficult decision to surrender me so I could have a chance at a better life. Despite everything, I’m a happy, social, and affectionate boy. I love meeting new people, soaking up scratches and belly rubs, and cuddling whenever I can. I get along wonderfully with other dogs and enjoy a good game of chase with my friends. I’m still learning about life in a home since I’ve only known being tied up and living in a shelter. I’m food-motivated, curious, and have a playful, energetic side, but after some outdoor fun, I’m happy to relax and unwind. With a little patience and guidance, I’m ready to discover what it means to be part of a loving family. Could that family be yours? I get along with: Dogs: yesCats: unknownKids: unknown Engergy Level: High, Enjoys outdoor activities and likes to rest/calm at home after walks.  Fears: Non observed . ✅Currently located in South Korea✅️ 💟Available to fly to Vancouver & Toronto💟 The prices listed are based on USD, and the adoption fee will be calculated in CAD according to the exchange rate. Meet Jerry💛 💙 Jerry’s Foster Account: @puppyhousuk 1⃣ Health Condition * Not spayed yet. * Microchipped. 2⃣ Rescue Story * Jerry was living at the Gimje City Shelter. She was waiting for someone to hold out a hand to her, but no one showed up to be her family. The weather was becoming colder and it was determined that it would be hard for Jerry to live at the shelter under poor conditions, so Adogs urgently rescued her. 3⃣ Basic Information ❗️As a puppy, she may need training in areas such as separation anxiety, potty habits, biting, nipping, whining, disorderly behaviors, howling and barking. ❗️It is difficult to predict her shedding and growth size because her parents are unknown. * With People: Even when she is with the caregiver, she gets scared of strangers, tucks her tail and freezes up. Once familiar, she shows her playful and adorable side. When with her foster parent, she sticks by their side, plays with her toys, naps, and even shows her belly. Is a bit wary of people standing and moving around; she usually keeps her distance and retreats to her kennel. * With Dogs: Got along well with other dogs at our center. Hasn’t met any dog friends since moving to her foster home. * With Cats: Hasn’t met them yet. * Separation Anxiety: Plays alone well without anxiety and sleeps alone well going into the room. Gets anxious and whines for her guardian when left alone with a stranger. * Potty Training: Has an accuracy rate of 99% pottying indoors on potty pads but she tries to move away before she's completely done pooping. * Hygiene: Gets a bath once a month. Was terrified but managed to stay brave through the nail trim. * Walks: Her vaccinations are not complete, so she hasn’t been on any walks. * Car Sickness: Didn’t show any signs of car sickness. * Doesn’t bite, but may nibble or nip since she’s still a teething puppy. Has started chewing on her paws pads recently, but not to an excessive degree. * Whines quietly when left alone in an unfamiliar environment. Barks once or twice when he is excited. * Feels comfortable in her kennel and goes inside whenever she's scared or wants to rest. Loves doing nosework with homemade toys like towels, tissue boxes, and plastic bottles. Is obsessed with toys that make sounds, like crinkly or squeaky toys and balls. * Is very timid and easily scared of unfamiliar places, situations and people. Especially around strangers, she just freezes up and tries to avoid people. * Already knows how to "sit", "lie down", "paw", "touch", and "V",
