Story
Hi! I’m Bolillo and looking for my new home.I’m a 2-year-old male Corgi and currently being fostered in Lake Elsinore, CA. I came into rescue, because my family’s circumstances changed and they no longer had as much time for me.I’m super sweet, once acquainted with new people. I like to be with my people and follow my foster family around the house.I’m a typical smart corgi. I come when called and know some basic commands like sit, stay, and shake. When my foster family gets home, I greet them and enjoy some attention.I have lots of energy and enjoy taking a walk in the morning and evening. After walks, I still have the energy to play fetch. To channel my energy and build my confidence, I could benefit from more training and socialization. I’m afraid of fireworks and react to unfamiliar noises. I can also be leery of people and dogs I don't know.I’m a strong boy and would do well in a home with adults and possibly older kids. Although I’m fine with some other dogs, poodles aren’t my favorites. Cats wouldn’t be appropriate for me either. Ideally, I’d love to be an only dog and get plenty of attention, training, and playtime.Watchdog barking is one of my talents, when I hear unfamiliar noises. Because of this, I’d be best in a single-family home.As you can see in my picture, I’m cooperative when needing to wear something unfamiliar. I am happy to wear boots on hot days. I’m current on my vaccinations, microchipped, and have been neutered. I weigh 25 lbs. When the right home is found, I’m ready for adoption. To be considered, please submit an adoption application with the rescue for the Pembroke Welsh Corgi Club of Southern California at www.pwccsc.com/corgi-rescue/. Only applicants in Southern California will be considered. This is a courtesy post.

ATTENTION:  All of our dogs are in private foster homes.  We do NOT have a kennel with multiple dogs.  If you find a dog you want to meet in person, please go to www.secondchancedogrescue.org and complete an application.    We will make every attempt to process all applications within 3 business days of receipt. // // Meet Tony! Tony is a sweet and quirky 1-year-old, 30-pound supermutt (we think maybe a little Chihuahua, a little Corgi, and a whole lot of adorable!). He’s the perfect mix of High/Medium energy—full of fun, puppy playfulness, but also able to settle in and relax once he’s had his exercise. Tony gets along great with women, older kids, and other dogs, and would thrive in a home that has another friendly pup to show him the ropes. Some of his favorite activities include going for walks, hopping in the car for adventures, and—most importantly—any activity that involves food, which is his absolute greatest motivation. This lovable boy is fully potty trained, walks beautifully on a leash, and knows how to sit like a champ. He’s still working on his recall (right now it’s… not great!), and he’d benefit from continued positive training—especially with a patient, calm adopter who understands how to build trust through kindness and treats. Tony can feel nervous around men, bikes, or when someone corrects him too firmly, so he needs someone who will make him feel safe and supported. Tony’s personality is pure joy: he’s funny, affectionate, and does the cutest little tippy-taps when he knows food is coming. His favorite place to be is snuggled right up in your face—often with all ten toes pointed to the sky. He’s not a big barker and would do well in a home where someone is around during the day. If you’re looking for a loyal, silly, food-loving sidekick with a heart of gold, Tony might just be your perfect match. He’s ready to find a family who will love him for the gentle, goofy boy he is. Tony can’t wait to meet you! He is microchipped and up to date on all his vaccines. His adoption fee is $300. All Second Chance Dog Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, are up to date on vaccines and have microchips prior to adoption.   Adoption fees vary depending on age of dog. Fees help Second Chance Dog Rescue cover spay/neuter costs,   vaccinations, medical treatments, food and supplies. Please go to  www.secondchancedogrescue.org  and complete an application today!    All dogs live in private foster homes until they are adopted.  December 12, 2025, 1:30 pm

Meet Chicky NOTE: This is a Courtesy Listing. If interested in Chicky, contact Kevin at 951-290-1979, or email kevincollins17@gmail.com. ARRF does not have a shelter. All dogs are in private homes. Chicky, a four-year-old neutered male Corgi-mix, was adopted in 2021 in Denver, Colorado, and is now looking for a new home where he can truly thrive. He’s a confident, active boy who does best with strong, consistent leadership—both from his humans and any canine companions. Chicky is smart, food-motivated, and eager to please. He’s already mastered several commands and tricks, and he absolutely loves staying active with walks, runs, and toy time! Chicky is neutered, up to date on all of his vaccinations, and currently weighs 26 lbs. Chicky can become nervous in situations where rules and expectations aren’t clear, and he’s developed some resource-guarding behavior around a specific person. With the right guidance and structure, Chicky has so much potential to be a loyal and loving companion. He would do best with experienced dog owners who can provide him with the calm, confident leadership he needs to feel secure. If you’re looking for a bright, active dog who’s ready to learn and bond deeply, Chicky might just be your guy! To meet Chicky, please contact Kevin Collins at 951-290-1979, or email kevinccollins17@gmail.com.
