Story
Our Gemma came to us about 4 yrs ago, I had recently lost my dog and was engaged to be married and wanted our first pet together. We recently had a baby, and Gemma seems to be ok with him. But would love a mature household with no kids just because she is anxious around young kids. she is picky about other dogs and has recieved some professional help with that. We love our Gemma but are unable to care for her any longer due to unforseen circumstances. We want her to find a good loving home, she loves to go on walks and play toy, loves to sleep with her person. She has everything you'll need, kennel, clothes, training collar and more. It is very important to find our girl a loving home.

Story
If you have ANY QUESTIONS or are truly interested in adopting any animal from PAW Animal Shelter Please, fillout an adoption application FIRST!   WE are a high intake No Kill Shelter ran by a staff of 4 and do not always have time to answer every question asked by so many. If you are a good fit for the animal you are interested in -we will call to speak with you, If we feel you are not a good fit , we will contact you about other pets that may be a good fit for your home. Many people are losing the opportunity to adopt the animal they want because they fail to put in an application and the pet was adopted before we could answer your email. .If you have applied for an animal in our facility and have not received a response within 7 days, PLEASE call or contact us again. Though we do our best in trying to answer all emails in a timely manner, sometimes things get away from us, get lost or misplaced. It is never our intention to ignore a request about an adoptable animal in our facility. Sandy Brown, Director, PAW Animal Shelter 319-372-2274 ##2704030##

***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org*** This perfect little angel is Baby!  At 7 years young, she is looking for a new forever home after she lost her human.  She is really pretty perfect and we don't think we need to say much more!  If you are looking for a corgi or a medium sized constant companion to share all of your troubles and tribulations, she would be happy to take on that job!  She is a great listener and is really ready to have a life of all good things.  Baby is spayed, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and ready to find her new BFF! Her adoption fee is $275.00July 1, 2026, 5:37 pm

Story
- Shy pup who may need extra time to warm up to new people and things; will likely open up in a home environment with patience and time and may prefer a calm, quiet home- May take some time to warm up to new dogs and may prefer some dogs over others; would be most comfortable with a slow introduction to new dogs (dog intro recommended) The ARL's shelter software requires that we choose a primary breed for our dogs. Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable, so for most dogs we are only guessing a primary breed. We get to know each dog as an individual and do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not breed label. Primary Color: Tri Color Weight: 21.06 Age: 2yrs 0mths 1wks

Story
(ADOPTION PENDING)Tazzy has not met a person she doesn't adore, and turns on the charm for everyone she meets. I took Tazzy (along with her chiweenie sister) into my home (with two resident dogs and 3 cats) when my dad had to go into a nursing home. Tazzy does not want to compete for attention, and would do best in a home with no other dogs or a calm/confident larger dog. Full disclosure- she was regularly getting into scuffles with the chiweenie and my smaller senior dog so she is now kept separated from them. She does OK with my cats, but they are experienced with dogs. She has never been around children.
