Story
Hi, I'm Portur and I am a 1.5 year old Corgi! I'm a sweet boy but could use some training on basic manners. I seem to get along well with everyone but will need someone to keep a close eye on me as I am an escape artist and can get over a 4ft fence. I will either need to be leash walked only or be in a home with a tall privacy fence.  If you're interested in adopting me, please fill out an application at www.polkcountyhumanesociety.org/adopt. You can also reserve an appointment to meet me. Some pets are in foster homes or may already have visits scheduled, so appointments help ensure I’ll be available. Polk County Humane Society is located in Bolivar, Missouri, and we welcome adopters from any state. We have access to a transport to Aurora, CO. Other outofstate adopters either travel to Missouri or arrange & pay for air transport. Virtual meetandgreets are available on the appointment request. ##2842820##

Story
Winnie is a 1.5-year-old 30ish lbs low-rider who is sweet as can be and always ready to be part of the action! This active girl loves being involved in everything her people are doing and would thrive with a family that enjoys keeping her busy and included.Winnie is taking to leash training and basic manners really well. She’s a quick learner and eager to please, making her a fun pup to continue training with. She does have a bit of a herding instinct, so an experienced family or a home with older kids would be the best fit for her.If you’re looking for a sweet, active companion who wants to be your sidekick for all of life’s adventures, Winnie might just be your girl! Apply at www.foreverhomedogs.org to meet her!All adoptions are $300 per dog for puppies under 1 year, $250 for adults 1 - 9 years old and $150 for senior dogs which include spay/neuter, micro-chipped and up-to-date on required shots. Senior dogs, at our discretion, are adopted out at $150 per dog because we know they will have less time with your family and may eventually have more needs as they get older. But we feel these dogs deserve to live out the rest of their lives as part of a loving family.
