Hi, I’m Carly! ??I’m a 9-year-old Corgi / Texas Red Heeler mix, and don’t let my age fool you — I still have lots of energy and personality! I’m a smart, active girl who would love a home with someone who enjoys staying busy. Walks, adventures, and activities that keep my brain working are some of my favorite things.Because I’m such an intelligent working-breed mix, I really thrive when I have mental stimulation and structure. Training, puzzle toys, and learning new things help keep me happy and fulfilled. I would do best with someone who understands active, working-type dogs and is willing to spend time helping me be my best self.I do have a little quirk — I can sometimes resource guard stuffed toys or toys with fabric, so my future family will need to be mindful about that and help manage my toys appropriately. Because of this, I would do best in a home with no small children. Kids in the home should be 13–14 years or older who understand how to respect a dog’s space and boundaries.One thing that really helps me feel comfortable is having another dog friend in the home. I enjoy the company and would love a buddy to hang out with.At the end of the day, I’m truly a good dog with a lot of love to give. I’m affectionate, loyal, and just need someone who understands me and is ready to give me the active, engaging life I deserve. If you’re looking for a devoted companion and are willing to work with a smart girl like me, I might be the perfect fit. ??Come meet me — I’d love to find my person!
