Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Buddy, one of our newest residents at the Mikey & Me Kennels for Happy Days Rescue.  Buddy is a mixed breed, Jack Russel/Corgi/Dachshund(?), he’s 3-4 years old, he stands very low to the ground, and he weighs about 25 pounds. Buddy enjoys taking walks, sniffing along the trails, spending time with his people, and he seems to be OK with other dogs his size. We’re not sure yet how he would respond to being around a larger dog but we will test that after his vetting has been completed Buddy has been vaccinated and dewormed and he has an upcoming Vet appt. for booster shots, a heart worm test, physical, and to be microchipped for his safety. Buddy is scheduled to be neutered at a later date.  If you would like to meet this little guy, please submit an adoption application under his name at  happydaysdogandcatrescue.org . Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to    Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $45.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.    Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. Story
Roo would make for a great family dog or a dog for an active young adult. She LOVES playing catch with her tennis balls and will play for hours if you are up for it. She loves going places and meeting new people. She will wiggle and wiggle until the new person gives her a good belly rub. She is fully housebroken, snuggles into her cozy bed (which will be coming with her) at night and sleeps until morning. Her fur is like velvet and you won't be able to stop petting her. Don't be fooled by her age. She has plenty of energy but will gladly curl up on the couch or at your feet and rest right along with you.

Story
🐾 Welcome Sweet Dexter to the Save Monroe Strays Family! 🐾 How adorable is this little guy?! ❤️ Please help us welcome Dexter, a handsome young Corgi who is already stealing hearts. Dexter is approximately 1 year old, neutered, microchipped, and fully vaccinated, and he’s settling into foster care wonderfully. He’s a sweet, slightly submissive, middle-of-the-pack kind of boy who seems to enjoy the company of just about everyone he’s meets. A few things to know about Dexter: 🐶 Appears to be mostly potty trained, though he is currently marking occasionally, so we recommend using a belly band while he continues to adjust. 🐶 Plays well with other dogs. 🐶 Has done great with every person he’s met so far. 🐶 Is currently thriving in a foster home with a cat, two small dogs, and children. Dexter appears to be a purebred Corgi, so we anticipate receiving a large number of applications. Our volunteers will carefully review each application and select the homes that appear to be the best fit before scheduling meet-and-greets. As an entirely volunteer-run rescue, we truly appreciate your patience. While we’ll do our best to answer questions, we simply won’t be able to respond individually to every application. While Corgis may be short in stature, they are not couch potatoes! Dexter is looking for an active home that can provide plenty of daily exercise, mental enrichment, structure, and patience as he settles into his forever family. If you’re looking for a dog to join you on adventures, learn new things, and keep life entertaining, Dexter just might be your perfect match. ❤️ Think Dexter could be the one for you?
