Story
Meet Mantis!
Mantis and her brother Nova found themselves in need of a safe place to land after their family surrendered them to another rescue. When they desperately needed somewhere to go, we were happy to welcome them into our care! We’re still getting to know this sweet sibling duo, but so far, they’ve been nothing but lovely. Both are well-behaved, mild-mannered, and gentle souls. Mantis is a little more outgoing, while Nova prefers to hang back and follow his sister’s lead. These two seem to bring each other comfort, and it’s been a joy getting to know them! They’ve done well with other mature, easygoing dogs but would prefer canine companions who respect their space rather than young, rambunctious pups. We don’t know how they feel about cats or children just yet, but we suspect they could do well with older, respectful kids. They may also be able to share their home with a dog-savvy cat, provided introductions are slow and everyone’s boundaries are respected. Mantis and Nova have already been through a big change, and now they’re hoping for a fresh start with a family who will give them the love, patience, and security they deserve.
