Story
Marcy is the type of dog that makes people smile almost immediately. She has a goofy, happy personality, loves being involved in whatever you are doing, and absolutely lives for water. If there is a pond, creek, kiddie pool, or muddy shoreline nearby, Marcy will find it. Marcy is a stocky, short-legged mixed breed girl around 45 pounds full grown with a personality that balances confidence and sensitivity in a really unique way. She loves adventures, swimming, exploring, and outdoor activities, but she is not a nonstop high-energy dog. She can absolutely keep up on hikes, walks, or active days, then happily relax afterward. She is great with other dogs and cats. With dogs, she does best around friendly, respectful personalities. She can get intimidated if another dog is overly pushy or tries to dominate her, but outside of that she is social, playful, and very happy around other animals. With new people, Marcy can sometimes give a little low growl at first. It is not aggression and she has never shown aggressive behavior. It is simply her way of saying she needs a moment to process and get comfortable. Once she settles in, her affectionate and goofy personality comes out quickly. She is basically an extroverted introvert. Marcy would be a great fit for someone looking for a dog that enjoys adventures and outdoor time but does not need constant stimulation to stay happy. She especially needs a family that understands that not every friendly dog is instantly social with strangers, and that giving a dog a few minutes to warm up is completely okay. Good fit: someone looking for a fun, outdoorsy companion that enjoys water, adventures, and relaxing equally. Adoption process: All adoptions are completed prior to transport. Dogs are picked up at designated transport locations. If an adoption doesn’t work out (rare, but life happens), we always take our dogs back. Location: Oklahoma (available to approved out-of-state adopters via transport) Health: Fully vetted (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested) Adoption fee: $500 (includes transport + vetting) Transport routes: WA, OR, ID, MT, UT, WY, CO, MN, WI, IA, IL, IN, OH, PA, MD, NY, NJ, VT Think you might be a good fit? Story
Please note that we are a TX based rescue. We transport our dogs to new homes once adopted. All our dogs reside in foster homes in TX. Our app can be found at haydudeequine.org Hi. I’m Bella. Yes, that Bella—the one who literally chose her human. One day I just… followed my now-mom and her dogs home like, “This seems right.” And honestly? Best decision I’ve ever made. I’m about 2 years old (vet’s best guess, but have you seen my teeth? Very white. Very youthful. Iconic.) and 66 pounds of smart, sweet, slightly opinionated perfection. I’m some kind of part Shepherd/part angel mixup of breeds, which basically means I’m beautiful, athletic, and smarter than your average roommate. Let’s get into my resume: • Human-Oriented Queen – I like to be near my person. Preferably always. • Extremely Smart – I learned sit, high five, and treat-catching immediately. I’m basically a prodigy. • Toy Enthusiast – my stuffed Highland cow and tiny T-rex? My prized possessions. • Excellent Communicator – I will bark to let you know when I need to go out to do my bidness in the yard. Efficient. Clear. Respectful. A few notes from management (me): I prefer to approach new people on my terms—no surprise greeters, please. I’ve got boundaries, and honestly, good for me. I do great with other dogs, but have not been exposed to cats. I am a loyal companion to my people. My dream home: A fenced yard (I love my space), lots of walks (I love my walkies), and a human who appreciates a smart, loyal, slightly sassy best friend. Favorite things: Ear scratches, back rubs, snacks I catch mid-air, and being told I’m a good girl (because I am). If you’re looking for a dog who will choose you, stick by your side, make you laugh, and keep life interesting… I’m already halfway home. —Bella 🐾

Story
Moose is a kind, compassionate and friendly dog. I have a 5 year old son who he adores. He is intelligent and easily trained. It is heart breaking to separate him from our family but I’m not home enough to give him the love and care he needs due to my employer. He is a great dog and an even better friend.
