Story
She’s incredibly loyal, loves being around people, and always brings a smile with her goofy energy. We’re looking for a new home that can give her the time, attention, and love she deserves. Ideally, a home where she can get regular exercise, playtime, and plenty of companionship. She does best with owners who enjoy an active, affectionate dog. Some words that describe her: playful, loving, loyal, energetic, and a little stubborn (in a funny, classic corgi way). She enjoys walks, chasing toys, and just being near her people.

Story
Meet Mac – A Mighty Little Pup We’d like to share the story of a very special pup named Mac (short for Makenzie). Born the runt of her litter with severe limb deformities, Mac was unable to walk and initially given a poor prognosis. But Mac’s story didn’t end there. Thanks to Scout’s Honor Rescue, she was evaluated by the team at Houston Veterinary Specialists, who believed that with corrective surgery on her back legs, she could have a real chance at a happy, active life. Mac proved them right. With her trademark spunk and resilience, she recovered beautifully from major orthopedic surgery. Today, she spends her days chasing lizards in her foster’s backyard and soaking up naps in warm sunbeams. While Mac’s surgery was a great success, her early deformities mean she is more susceptible to injury and already has some arthritis. She will require a bit more advanced veterinary care as she ages. She also may eventually need corrective surgery on her front left leg. That means she really needs an amazing pet parent, someone who will give her the love, care, and medical support she deserves (and fortunately for us, we know quite a few amazing pet parents)! Mac gets along wonderfully with cats, dogs, and children, she truly loves everyone she meets. If you think you might be the perfect match for Mac, please click the link below to fill out an adoption application. https://scoutshonor.org/dogs/little-mac-pup  May 24, 2026, 2:34 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Badly Abused'Yay!  Rosco is ready for his furever home! If you are looking for a loving, smart, playful four-legged companion that loves daily walks and eventually someone to go jogging with. Rosco is looking for his forever family.  He needs a family that will love him with calm leadership and continue his training by giving him guidance with rules, boundaries, and limitations. He is not perfect; he has had a very rough start to life. However, the amazing thing about dogs is that they move forward if we lead them in that direction.  Rosco is a dog you cannot pity despite the cruelties he has survived. He still trusts but requires leadership and structure, as he will test limits because he is a brilliant little dog. He is an active dog, but can not do strenuous exercise until he completes his heartworm treatment and his deep injuries are totally healed. Rosco's vet (Safari in League City) thinks he is two (ish) years old. He is crate trained but needs more work on house training. He does have a high prey drive, so a house with other small pets(cats/chickens/birds/rabbits/etc...) would not be a good idea. Rosco's Story:This little guy walked into a shop. Someone had taped his mouth shut. He was out back eating rocks. So, Harvey, his savior, at the shop he walked into, went down to Paleo Pet Supply, and got him some soft dawg food. He gobbled it down. Their FedEx driver stopped by today and saw the little guy, told us he had seen him running down El Dorado yesterday with his mouth taped shut and a guy chasing him. Wonder if that was the evil one. When he showed up here at the shop, we had no problem calling him to us. So he wasn't trying to help him, I don't think. He (now named Rosco) is available for adoption, and Paws Animal Rescue will be responsible for his Vet Bills, which are going to be extensive. He has a severe muzzle injury, a slight separation of his left front shoulder, soft tissue injuries, and Heartworms. We encourage you to fill out an adoption application if you want to adopt or sponsor him, helping cover some of his medical bills.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 12, 2026, 7:32 pm
