If we had to appoint a class clown, Callie would be our girl! She accidentally trips over her own excitement… then gets the zoomies about it. 🤭This happy-go-lucky girl lives life with one goal: have fun and make sure everyone around her does too. Whether she’s tearing around with her signature happy zoomies, making you laugh with her goofy antics, or showing off that huge smile, Callie has a way of turning an ordinary day into a great one. She’s incredibly friendly with everyone she meets and seems to think strangers are just friends she hasn’t introduced herself to yet.Callie is working on her basics and putting a lot of effort into her leash manners! She gets very excited when it’s time for a walk, but once she’s had a chance to sniff a few spots and take a potty break, she settles in beautifully and enjoys walking alongside her handler.She also has a serious love for toys, especially stuffies! If you stop by her kennel, there’s a good chance she’ll proudly show off one of her favorites. Just don’t expect her to hand it over without a little game of tug of war first! Callie has tested positive for heartworms, but HSNBA is committed to helping her every step of the way. Unfortunately the shelter is not an ideal place for a dog to undergo heart worm treatment as they need a calm, quiet environment to heal. HSNBA will cover the full cost of her heartworm treatment and support her future family throughout the entire process. The only thing Callie needs is a loving home where she can recover in a calm, quiet environment while she heals.If your home could use a little more laughter, a lot more smiles, and a best friend who reminds you to enjoy the little things, Callie is ready to trade her kennel for a couch! I have tested heartworm positive. This means I have a parasite and need treatment. While my friends at HSNBA desperately want to help me, the shelter is too stressful an environment to undertake treatment and treatment itself is very expensive. The shelter has a few options to help with treatment, and if I steal your heart you should talk with them and your vet about what my treatment is like. I met Hope at Austin Pets Alive rescue. She was shedding profusely and very scared but also extremely sweet. She is two years old and I have had her for a month. She is calm and relaxed now and loves going on long walks. and has been a very loyal companion. She has stopped shedding and showing big behavior issues but She does need a home that can give her special attention because she has a lot of trouble with separation anxiety. She usually uses the bathroom inside if I leave for periods of time and then doesn’t go to the bathroom on walks. Because of this she needs help being potty trained again. I work and unfortunately don’t have enough time to give her the care and rehabilitation she needs. She would make a lovely family pet or companion for the right dedicated owner. I unfortunately am not able on my own to give her everything she needs to get back to true stability.
